This is a very well-performing window unit that delivers on every feature it advertises. The cooling power is strong and consistent. I use it in a bedroom space and it handles all our cooling needs with no issue. The standard noise level is low, even on the highest fan speed. Not silent, but easily acceptable for sleep. There is even a quiet mode which at 37 dB (“Quiet” mode) is some of the lowest noise level in the ac industry. Installation was very straightforward. The included bracket simplifies the process, and the slim profile is appreciated. The window can be opened and closed without issue with unit installed. I saw the one-star review claiming the unit is “extremely loud.” That does not reflect my experience and is likely the result of a defective unit or shipping damage. My unit arrived in good condition and has functioned properly from day one. There’s nothing to indicate a design flaw or manufacturing issue. The smart features work well. I’ve had no issues connecting to Wi-Fi or using the app. This is a solid choice if you’re looking for a compact, quiet, and energy-efficient window AC. No reservations recommending it. I bought this refurbished from Hyper Microsystems. It came basically brand new. Everything included. All the inserts and seals. All the weather strips. The manual. All of it. The only difference between brand new is it appears the box was opened then retapped. As far as I can tell nobody ever used it. The air conditioner works well. I needed this specific one to fit my very small window. I previously had a Midea U-Shaped but it got recalled and it barely fit in the opening, I had to disassemble the window to get it in there. This Hisense AC however has a much smaller front, and I was able to slid it in from the back just fine. If you have at least a 9" opening on the window, this will work great. ... show more

Summers here in MS are extremely humid and hot, easily reaching 100°F with humidity levels above 80%. We are very happy with this Hisense AC purchase and hope it lasts for years. It is easy to install, only took me 20 minutes and I'm NOT a handman, I strongly recommended to watch the Hisense instalation video. It's extremely quiet, and really keeps my large bedroom with bathroom (about 319Sq/f) cool all night long. I bought this air conditioner to save energy, that's the goal and confort. My wife have hot flashes and I need to keep the room cool. I set the central thermostat to 80°F while keeping the Hisense in my bedroom at 68°F. It uses only 700 watts, compared to the 6,000 watts used by the central unit. Another thing I really like is how quiet it is. I can watch TV in the bedroom while the AC is running, and we can talk without interruption because the noise is similar to that of a small desk fan. Thanks for the magic of the inverter technology.     • HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!
It worked the first week and now it will randomly just stop working. Display says its on but its not!!! Waste of $300 and its too late for me to return!!!! I've reset it so many times to try to get it working again and it worked a few times but now it won't. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!

My first night using this AC unit. Did very well, very quiet, I had one problem, connecting to the wifi system. I downloaded the Google Home app, but could connect. No worries, I only use it to cool my bedroom. Installation wasn't a snap. The wing or curtains did not fit properly, I had to engineer another solution. Took me 4 hours to install the unit, make sure you tilt the unit back using a level, I did 3/4 bubble tilt. And make sure someone is there to help you lift it into place. Luckily I have a fantastic neighbor who helped me lift the unit. I like the dim feature, it shut off the lighted panel, I like a very dark bedroom. My bedroom and hall is 165 sft, it cooled down to 65F in 15 minutes. My home is very well insulated, with e-glass windows, extra high attic insulation. These unit use a splash water system and MUST BE TITLED to drain condensation. Although this unit was considered a refurbished product, it had never been out of the box. VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW; If the ambient outside temperature is below 59f or15c the air conditioner will not cool down. I learned this the hard way. Works good above 60f. ... show more

Very quiet! We haven’t really used it yet. We’ve only tried it a few times to make sure it’s working properly, and it cooled the room down very quickly! So far, so good ! Our windows are so small that we’ve never been able to have an air conditioner in the bedroom. It was a little awkward, trying to put it in the window, but we finally got it… and it fits! Looking forward to a much cooler room this summer! ... show more

Does not look or work like a refburbished. Looks brand new box is new. Still cold here in michigan but prepareing for summer. Plugged this in for 30 minutes works fine. Does not go below 61* tempurature. High hopes for upcomeing summer. For use in second floor old house no ac or place for mini split. Once I got it installed (which was a PITA), I really like the performance and looks of it. Exceptionally quiet, in fact makes less noise than our central AC air handler upstairs. In quiet mode one can barely hear it at all, yet it provides effective cooling power. At this point I am not even fully familiar with all the features, but it does well what's important for me. A star knocked off for a horrible installation manual. One needs a magnifying glass to read some of the important commentary to the VERY bad pictures. I am not saying that as an overstatement - yes, I actually needed a magnifying glass (even if it's a digital app on my phone), and I do not have any near-vision impairment. With the state of technology today there is no excuse for such an atrocity, other than the laziness and carelessness on the part of the manufacturer. Terrible illustrations, not enough detail. I was only able to complete my install thanks to some dude on youtube, who suffered through this crappy guide so the rest of us don't have to. Update: I came back to knock-off another star for the absolute lack of any product documentation on the Hisense website. I attached the screenshot of their page, related to this product. No links. They do allow you to register your purchase, however after the registration I have received no acknowledgment of my registration. All the info I provided just went into a nebula to be never seen again. ... show more
