We took this tent for shade on our vacation to a lake. I set it up in about 5 minutes by myself. It pops right open and then you disconnect the four feet from each other and stake it to the ground. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to put it back into the bag because the instructions weren't super clear (the wording was a little strange, though the pictures were good), but once I figured it out, it was a cinch. I have used it on two family vacations. It was big enough for us to get out of the sun a bit when we wanted to. It also comes with bags attached that you can fill with sand and then extra sand bags if you need them, which I thought was great. Very impressed overall. It also folds up to a super-slim disk (almost like a large Frisbee) that is light and easy to fit into your gear. Great product! Very happy with this purchase. Update: We have had this beach tent for almost 4 years now. We have taken it everywhere, including setting it up on terrain that had a lot of natural grasses and sticks. It is still working perfectly. We have used it way more than we ever thought we would. Great purchase!

Like this product for the most part and will continue to use, though there are steps one would need to take THE BAD: WIND...the tent nearly bends in half with any moderate - heavy winds on the beach. The wind swirls on the beach, so it is difficult to setup the tent facing one direction so the wind blows through. Even if the wind blows through, who wants that? You get even more sand over everything. Wind made the tent unusable as you could not sit in it without the bent in walls hitting you. I should have taken video. BAGS...attached sand bags are rather cheap, as one ripped when filling it. INSTRUCTIONS....instructions are the incomprehensible international kind without words, however you can figure out how it's done TENT RODS...fill up with sand and VERY DIFFICULT to get apart...make sure you flush with water when taking tent down! THE GOOD. SETUP/TAKE DOWN...Easy enough to do once you get the hang of it. Feels at first like you're going to break it half wen you twist it into the figure 8 and bend in half when putting away. STAKES/BAGS...not perfect, but if you bury in the sand you can prevent tent from blowing away. Looks Good, Easy to Take Around Really, the main issue is how this holds up in the wind. It won't blow away, but it will bend so 1/2 the tent is unusable unless you want to use your head and body to hold it up.

I have probably purchased around 7 or 8 beach tents and this is the first one that I will say was BEYOND easy to set up and take down each day. Literally takes a minute or 2 tops to set up and take down. It withstands the windy beach days and was a lifesaver as far as offering shelter from the wind and sun! The bag it is stored in did come apart at one seam but we still managed to pack it in there each day for 10 days in a row! I definitely recommend this tent to anyone looking for an easy, quick solution for a beach shelter. We actually packed this tent in our suitcase and brought it with us on an international flight to a beautiful beach location and we were the only ones with a tent that could withstand the windy conditions. People were complimenting us on what a great set up we had and the best part was that it was just SO EASY to manage! It’s the only tent we will use in the future!

This tent is awesome!! It's super easy to set up and take down, lightweight, and way more spacious than I expected it to be. I think it's definitely going to be my go-to for day use (such as going to the beach/lake or having a picnic at the park), and I am also excited to try it later this year as a summer camping tent. It doesn't have a rain fly, but if you know the night is going to be dry, it's definitely a breezy and comfortable sleeping set up for one adult (a bit cozier for two adults) or a couple of kids. You might consider putting a groundsheet (like a tarp) below to help with rocks/brush, but in sand or grass, it's totally fine. I'm just waiting for the weather to get warmer to take this out more!

This product arrived in a bright green case with snaps over the zipper so that it doesn't unzip. The tent was easy to pop up and easy to take down. I couldn't exactly follow the directions for how to put it back in the bag properly, but even with me wrapping the material around the poles it fit in to the bag just fine and zipped easily without snagging. In all honesty, I did return it because I didn't pay attention to the images or read the details about the size. I thought you could put a chair in it , but it's not tall enough for that. However, it's great for kids and families. I am just not able to sit on the ground.

Cons: you need two people to start filling the bags with sand asap after setting up to fight wind. Works best if you can bury the bags in, but the seams did rip on first use. You will have to use the wind ropes as well. The additional bags are really small (spouse's hands were too big, so I had to fill them). There isn't a great way to secure them to the ropes either. Wish they added a small loop in the design. Those will have to be buried, as well, as they are really small and not enough weight on their own. Tent will also get hot with one side down (since there's no mesh window siding), and the mesh windows on the sides are smaller and low, so don't allow enough airflow on their own. But pros are it is easy set up (pre-sand filling), and take down. Sand can get in but sweeps out easily with material. It's nice having the option to open both sides, but know it's only best at high noon or sun will come in. It is nice and roomy for two people (small family of 3-4 with young ones). Not a perfect design, but good for the price.
