I bought three comparable products, and this is by far the best. It is firm but has a soft cushion. The width is just right for wearing around the wrist. It comfortably supports the wrist while allowing the use of palm and fingers easily. My main purpose was to prevent the full turn of the wrist and this does it perfectly. I like this wrist strap because it is flexible and pretty comfortable, depending on your activity. It can get a little warm while wearing it if you are being active (exercise, etc) The flexibility of it makes it much more comfortable to wear than a stiff, almost cast-like band. It’s multi-size friendly which is awesome! The only complaint is the hole for the thumb. Wish it was more comfortable. But I definitely recommend! This is more practical out and about than the pair I bought for $25
