I'm very disappointed in this stool. The swivel feature is very poor and the foot rest is too low making it uncomfortable to sit on. Assembly was very time consuming and now I have to disassemble it and repack this beast to be able to return it. Interestingly I paid $107 and I see it's now $139. Certainly not worth the cost. After reading the positive reviews I was really excited for it. I spent a good 45 minutes unpacking it and getting the legs attached. Then I found that the footrest ring didn't line up with all the legs. The instructions are one diagram and do not tell you that you need to attached the footrest ring BEFORE you tighten the legs. So I had to loosen 16 screws using the tiny Allen wrench, then attach the footrest. It was still not a simple task because the metal legs are not all uniform. They have slightly different curves (not just one of them) so they aren't symmetrical and you have to torque them this way and that to get both of their screw holes to line up with the footrest holes. In total it took 90 minutes to do one stool. Once I knew the order of assembly, I'm guessing I could do a second one in 45 minutes. Once it was together it looks good. It's huge. The seat is very large but the overall seating is not the most comfortable for me. The footrest is lower than any stool I've sat on, and that makes the rest of the stool pretty uncomfortable for me to sit on. That's the deal breaker here. I need to be able to sit on this for at least an hour at a time for zoom meetings. The swivel feature is terrible. It takes a lot of strength to make it turn and you can feel it sort of grind under you. I can't find anyway to adjust it and this area came pre-assembled so it doesn't seem possible that it was related to assembly. I see another reviewer who also found this to be an issue. Ordered two bar stools. They are sturdy once assembled. It doesn’t take long to assemble, unless you’re using the supplied Allen wrench. Don’t over tighten the Allen bolts too much though. One bar stool wasn’t complete upon unboxing, missing a crucial piece (bottom support ring). Will change to a 5 star once Amazon or supplier ships out the support ring. These are nice stools. Perfect design for what we needed. The boxes had sand in them, kind of weird. The real problem was that in a few of the spots where they were welded the welding wire attached inside of the location where the screw was supposed to go in. 3 of the 5 stools we bought had this issue. I was able to break them free on 2 of the stools but the 3rd stool I couldn't. As things go, it was the last screw to complete the build on the last stool. There are 2 screw holes that were welded. I don't have a tapping bit for it. I didn't want to take it apart, package it up and take the time to send it back. I am going to have to buy a tapping bit and see if I can rethread the hole.
