Beautiful chair. This is so well constructed. Weld seams are strong and look nice. I am replacing a twelve year old set of chairs that I dearly love. I have the old set zip tied together because so many welds have simply failed over the years. It was finally time to say goodbye to them. I was so pleased with the quality construction on this new chair. Much stronger welds. Better than is standard on the market today. I compared a lot of chairs before settling on this one. The vinyl seat is easily washable. It has a slight texture to it and a subtle color variance that makes it look more like real leather. The top "wood" looking piece on the back of the chair is also textured. It is very solid and does not wiggle at all where it is attached by screws to the metal frame. The swivel function is not free swinging. It requires some downward weight in the chair and an intentional push to swivel the seat. That is nice. My old chairs were more free swinging and often little fingers would get smashed unintentionally between the chair back and the counter top. As for the color of the metal. It has a very golden cast to the metal. It is not a true age bronze/black/gray look. I have gold flecks in my granite surfaces that tend to make this chair look gold. I might consider painting them black, but other than the color issue, I think this is an amazingly well made and nice looking chair. ... show more

I bought six of these bar height swivel stools. They are perfect. They are light, easy to assemble, and look great. I have a custom-made steampunk bar height dining room table that I have been struggling to buy chairs for and these work perfectly. The price was right, it didn't take long to receive them, and the delivery was easy. The only complaint I have is how they were packaged. As you can imagine they fit better in the box with the seat turned upside down with the backrest against the legs, and that is exactly how they were shipped. As I pulled the first one out of the box I couldn't figure out why the legs were coming along with the seat until I saw that it was (unnecessarily) zip tied with a single zip tie to the legs. I had to cut the zip tie to get the seat out. All but one of the stools had one or more zip ties attaching the seat to the legs. ... show more

Finally, a bar stool that is made solid. This was our third try at finding a bar stool for our high kitchen bar counter for the right height and quality of product. Saw this, decided to try, but only ordered one. Arrived in great shape, earlier than estimated, took hubby about 10 minutes to take out of box and put seat on. The rest of the stool is welded together. Amazing. Great design, very pleased with the craftsmanship and it is high enough for the bar counter and easy for this 5'2 frame to take a seat.     • Great looking stool, good price, definitely a knack to putting it together.

We love the stools, they're a little on the heavy side but look way more expensive than they are. One of them arrived slightly dinged up on the top of back. We fixed it with a black sharpie pen and looks pretty good. For the price I think we got a good buy, but they are rather difficult to put together and there is definitely a knack to it. Basically, you cannot force the screws into the holes; the screws are made from extremely cheap and soft metal you need someone who will be patient. You've got only one chance to get the screws in correctly and you probably should put the screws in in an "X" pattern. The first one we tried to put together we stripped one of the screws and it will have to be replaced. Other than the plastic on the seats being very difficult to remove (out of four chairs we could remove the plastic on only one chair correctly). Also, the styrofoam packaging got all over the house and clung to us and as a result the house had to be cleaned and our clothes needed to be washed. All in all we're pleased with our purchase, we feel like we got a good deal, the stools look great are a perfect fit for your kitchen eating area. ... show more

Been shopping for barstools for way too long. We have a counter that is 45" tall. All the adjustable barstools we found seemed very cheep. The ones that were 30" were too short to be comfortable eating. This barstool is perfect. Great price, nice and sturdy. And the mix of materials worked great in our room. Doesnt look cheap at all. The swivel is a little tough, but I suppose its better than being loose. And the seat pad is a touch on the stiff side but Im sure it will soften over time. So glad our barstool search is over! ... show more

    • Nice Looking Bar Stool

We purchased four of these through Amazon. They look beautiful and are comfortable for a bar stool. For that it would get five stars. However, it seems like there are some quality control issues at the Chinese factory where this product is made and so it loses a star for my review. We did have to return/exchange one (a hassle as the product is large and fairly heavy) due to the finish being damaged. Not sure if it left the factory like that, or if it was damaged during the shipping process to us, as the box was pretty torn up when it arrived. One of the other stools also has some issues with the finish, but it's in a less noticable spot, and was minor. For the stool that was sent back, another issue it had was that the legs weren't quite even and therefore had a slight wobble. As other reviewers have mentioned, getting the plastic wrap off the seat takes longer than the assembly. But despite the quality control issues we experienced and the fact they're made in China, these stools are so nice that we would buy these again. ... show more
