This is by far one of the best furniture purchases I have ever made in this price range. These stools look so high end that I couldn't imagine a more expense stool looking any better. The seat material feels like suede. It has color and texture variations - I'd described it as a distressed leather look. I bought 3 for my kitchen island last April, and I couldn't be happier. This is not a small, narrow stool. The cushioned seat is 18" round and 3" thick and very comfortable. The seat cleans easily with a vacuum attachment or damp cloth. It's sturdy and the seat spins. These stools are excellent quality, very comfortable, and look amazing. I have rarely been this impressed with a piece of furniture, particularly one you assemble yourself. Unfortunately, they are too big for my small kitchen nook. I was sad to have to return them. When assembling, leave the bolts loose on the legs where they join the stool, so you can put the ring on easily. Tighten the bolts on the ring, then Titan the bolts where the legs join the stool. ... show more

The photo isn't great, but this stool is so comfortable because it's very well padded, BUT it is more like 25.5 inches instead of 24 because it's so well padded! It's hard to get on. I'm 5'7" and my husband is 5'6" and we both have trouble getting on it and staying on it. If 25.5" is what you want and puffiness/comfort is what you want, it's great. It also looks good in our kitchen. But, I'd rather have function, not beauty. ... show more
