I initially had issues putting the bike together because the instructions were for a different bike, but, after the trial that was putting it together, I can say that it's a pretty good bike that takes me places. I assembled the bike myself in about 2 hours (including finding a presto valve for my inflator which was previously set for a Schrader valve; and including the follow up adjustments of seat and bar height, etc.) I surprised at what a nice bike this is for the price. The assembly video on amazon was helpful, but I needed to look on YouTube for other assembly instructions for this brand for a couple of issues (e.g., handle bar assembly and tilt adjustment, brakes). When I put in an assembly question they promptly replied and they have a lot of assembly videos on YouTube. So assembly was easy, just give yourself a couple hours, don't try to do it in 20 minutes. It would take only 20 minutes if you knew what you're doing (if you're assembling 2 bikes). All the parts fit nicely, everything was in good shape. Very pleasant feel and ride. Gear shifter makes a little noise (its not a $6k bike!) but was surprisingly quiet and smooth for the price. VERY HAPPY. Thank you Hiland! The amazon page says it has a kickstand included, but the same page says a kickstand is not included. Mine had no kickstand. I contacted they seller, they said there is no kickstand, but as a courtesy they refunded me $10 and sent me a link to a $10 kickstand. So the seller is responsive and responsible. I have had my bike since July and only rode it once because nothing on it has worked properly since I have had it. Everything is bent, broken, or needs repaired. I honestly will never try this company and want to warn people of this company. Do not waste your money on this bike.

    • Exactly what was advertised.
Firstly, this thing doesn’t have that many parts but is difficult to set up if you do not have any experience building bikes. I took mine to a shop to get everything fitted properly. Secondly, it had a couple of scratches staring out of the box because the smaller metal pieces weren’t secured properly and were jumping all over the place when it was being transported. And finally, it’s a 400$ bike but has no kick stand. All that aside, it performs extremely well and is a definite eye catcher when I’m out and about. Lighter than any other street bikes I’ve had. Obviously it won’t stand against a carbon fiber frame but for the price it is well worth it. I’d say it’s a good introductory bicycle for someone who cycles leisurely or is just starting out. And unfortunately they did not have any in the larger frame size when I ordered it. I’m 5’10 and the medium size works just fine. ... show more

    • Tire is defective - No response from vendor and no customer service to replace the tire
The media could not be loaded. They do not have customer service available for amazon purchases. The only option is to return the bike within 30 days of purchase (or buy an extended warranty). I went to Hiland website and they wrote me they did not cover amazon purchases (see email below). All I wanted was a replacement tire. I write a note to the on-line store / vendor and did not get a response. I now have a bike with a wobbly rear tire - I did not want to un-assemble the bike and re-pack into their box that was falling apart. Email from Hiland manufacturer... Thank you so much for your sharing. Please believe that we are willing to refund the money back to your account. But we are so sorry that we fail to refund the money to you because it was not sold buy our company. Meanwhile, our warranty only cover only cover Products purchased through official purchase channels and official authorized resellers. Revising my initial review. I bought two of these bikes. It looked decent and the reviews were stable enough to take the chance. It is true that it is 85% assembled in the box. It went together quite easily. The major issue, common to both bikes is that the front disc brakes rub. The instructions are wrong as to how to adjust (it mentions an adjustment screw that doesn't exist). After going thru countless YouTube videos and basically the front caliper cannot be adjusted enough to stop it from rubbing without some work at the bike shop. After a trip to the bike shop and $15 of labor, the bikes are fantastic and a lot of fun to ride. ... show more
