  • Fairly decent bike
I received this bike on time and undamaged. The bike only took about 15 minutes to assemble and tweak the derailleur and disc brakes and it was ready to ride. Its a very nice looking bike, good frame and I was surprised how light the 6-spokes wheels are. The only reason I didn't give this a 5-star is because the front hub locking skewer was the wrong part - it was about 3 inches too long. I was also a little disappointed that the rear hub is not a quick release (with locking skewer), but rather a conventional nut and bolt hub. My bad for not researching the Shimano derailleur gear used on this bike, it's just about the cheapest Shimano gear you can by and as a result, does not justify the $349 I paid for the bike. Only time will tell if the cheap Shimano gear will hold up. I've been riding the pretty hard, daily, for about 10 days now and it seems to be holding up well. ... show more

  • Godd Bicycle - Cheap Flat-prone Tires
This was my second 26", 21-speed mountain bike with mag wheels. I average 55 miles per week riding my mountain bike around my neighborhood on asphalt or concrete surfaces. I typically get 2 flats per year, so about 1400 miles between flats. I received this bike on August 9. I have 4 flats on the rear tire in less than 5 weeks. I deducted one star because the tires are cheap rubber with apparently no puncture-resistant liner. I replaced the tube after a flat caused by the tiny piece of steel wire (see photo). I got another flat the next day, within 20 miles of the tube replacement. I am ordering Fincci Kevlar wire cord bead reinforced tires and going to replace both of them. I deducted a second star because the bottom bracket (where pedals and front gear pass through the frame) make a creaking or clicking sound periodically which may indicate cheap ball bearings in the bottom bracket. ... show more

  • MTB needs improvements to be better
Received the bike and my 16 y/o son was able to assemble it without very much support from me. Looking at the bike I am not fond of the front derailleur or the shifters. The rear derailleur is Shimano, and that is stated on the product page, but the front derailleur is no name and the front derailleur looks cheaply made to me and although I could adjust it and get it to work better, I just ended up ordering a Shimano setup and will install that. In regards to the shifter/brake assemblies, those are even more cheap. The downshifter looks plastic and is flexing and stressing during use and again I ended up order better quality items to replace these as well. I do like the welding on the frame, and the colors, and the seat seems okay so far. The handlebars are not superb either and I may upgrade those as well. Wheels and tires appear okay and the wheels out of the box were straight as were the brake rotors. Bike is light and maneuverable and my son likes it and so we'll just improve the parts that need improvement and keep the bike instead of trying to send it back. Price of bike commands better quality I believe. We did have to wait for the bike to come in and that took a while (not Amazon Prime shipping that you might expect), although many of my orders now do not come in like they did pre-COVID times. Everything is slow now. Concluding I would not order this bike again if I knew the issues with the quality of some of the parts. ... show more

  • Very happy
I purchased this bike to pick up a hobby to help me quit smoking and couldn't be happier. Arrived earlier than expected and was easy to assemble. The first weekend I rode it 3.5 miles & 8.9 miles, I figured out where to make adjustments and how / when to shift gears (it's been over 24 years since I was on a bicycle). The only downside for me was the bike seat (the seat that came with it made my but sore after about 6 miles) and was a little rough going over bumps and cracks in the road (but that was due to a higher tire pressure). After ordering a new seat (I recommend the Everlasting Comfort Ventilated Bike Seat Cushion) and trying out different tire pressures it rides very well. My second weekend of having it I rode it 3 days in a row of 20-25 miles a day and my distance was only limited because I ran out of water. My legs feel like spaghetti (but I'm good with that) and my butt feels fine and found a few more things to tweak / tighten on the bike and installed a third water bottle mounted to my handle bars. ... show more

  • Good Value and Gets the Job Done!
I've never assembled a mountain bike before nevermind one that has disc type brakes so struggled initially because the manual was not that good. I recommend watching a few youtube videos before getting started. However, after assembly and some fine adjustments of the front wheel to get it centered with the disc brake the bike comes into it's own. I did have to replace the seat, it's really painful on the tush so you should factor that into the eventual price. The bike isn't too heavy (aluminium frame I think) and the gear system is easy to work up and down. I really appreciated the quick release front wheel and saddle so it fits in my car. I've probably racked up well over a hundred miles on it already since late summer. For trail type lightweight mountain biking it gets the job done at a very reasonable price. So far it's holding up great to my long weekend rides. If the bike had a more comfortable saddle and a better assembly manual it would easily deserve 5 stars. ... show more

  • Considerations before purchase
This MTB is of fair quality. It looks very snazzy and appealing (a lot of compliments). Some upgrades will be required to better the bike such as; thicker tire tubes (stock quality is poor and doesn’t hold air), seat post (doesn’t stay in place and will strip if tighten anymore), better seat cushioning, handlebar grips (poor and slippery), peddles (cheap narrow plastic), and it’s highly recommended to take to a local bike shop to have inspected once assembly is completed. The brake disks needed proper professional adjustments and the cables were said to be twisted in its housing/coverings. I ride this bike hard almost everyday in a round trip of 10 miles and it’s hanging in so far. (Image is after assembly and not with any upgrades which have already been made) ... show more
