This speaker is amazing! Long story, but I bought it on accident, I didn't think I'd ever be okay paying this much for a speaker, but I can't go back. I listen to music all day every day. I have a few different speakers & headphones... JBL Charge 4 JBL Vibe Beam Apple earbuds (pro & regular) Some other brands of speakers that are less notable, the list goes on... There's something lacking in each one, mostly the volume and bass quality. For working out I dance, and I like my music LOUD. This speaker is IT. It's the only (non-club/concert) speaker I've ever though, wow - that's too loud, I should turn it down. The first time I turned it on I was blown away. It's pretty big and heavy, but I guess that just comes with the huge amount of sound it produces. I feel like the battery life is okay. I really only use it in the house so I don't need it to last very long. It charges relatively fast and I haven't had any issues with connectivity. Super user friendly. It's seriously the best (home) speaker I've ever heard. I'd say it's definitely worth the price. ... show more

This thing is awesome. I’ve had several brands of smaller Bluetooth speakers through the years, and they’re all great for smaller areas (cooking in kitchen, fishing on kayak, hanging out by a fire), but none of them had enough power in my shop while working with power tools or boiling crawfish. This thing fills my shop with ease. The quality is great, very well built! I just paired it with the TV in the shop so I can hear the games while working, so it’s compatible with lots of things. The sound is great, the bass is even greater. Sharp thumps with no fuzz or rattling. I want more just to pair them together, but really don’t need them bc how loud this thing gets. JBL Speaker I recently purchased this JBL speaker and the experience has been excellent. From the first moment, the quality of the product is evident: the design is modern, compact, and durable, ideal for taking anywhere. The Bluetooth connection is fast and stable, and the battery lasts surprisingly long, perfect for long days without worrying about recharging. The sound is the most notable: the bass is deep, the treble is clear, and the volume is quite powerful for the device's size. Even at high volumes, the audio doesn't distort. It's also waterproof, making it a great option for use at the beach, the pool, or outdoors. In short, the JBL speaker offers an excellent balance between sound quality, durability, and portability. This is a great sounding boom box! Even at max volume there’s very little clipping or distortion with bass heavy songs. And it has great battery life. Happy with purchase. It does have some weight to it so purchasing a shoulder strap would be smart if you plan to move around with it.

Speaker received today. Fired it up. Installed the app. Tested it. 40% off was a good deal. There was a review below that mentioned an “audiophile” perspective (which I can certainly relate to – without going into details/minutia). For summertime parties, I have, on many occasions, hauled my “garage system” (heavy old-school multiple amps and multiple speakers) out into the back yard. Fun. But it takes some physical effort and takes a while to hook it all up (and then I have to put it all back in the garage when the party is over). It is quite impressive sound-wise. By the end of the evening, all the neighbors are usually dancing on the lawn. Based on my initial trial-run with the Boombox 3 (which aligned with my intuition) these portable Bluetooth systems can’t defy the laws of physics. Loud? Yes. Accurate? No. Crisp highs? No. Well-built? It appears to be. Portability? Check. For the price, I’m satisfied. Convenience? I can control volume and track selection sitting in my chair… rather than getting up and turning a knob, pushing buttons, or changing CDs/LPs. So, that will be nice! But from a sound quality standpoint, it is what it is. Acceptable for the application. ... show more
