Love this bike! It was a gift for my wife for Mother's Day. She absolutely loves it. Assembly was pretty simple with the exception of the brake setup. It was simple for me because I have quite a bit of experience with tools and making sure things are in sync on mechanical items. If you aren't as skilled with hand tools, you should find resources on the proper way to setup and tune disc brakes on a multi-gear bike. It's not that difficult but if done incorrectly, it can affect the smoothness of the ride. It can also result in catastrophic brake failure (in extreme cases). So better to seek additional instruction. The manual lays it out pretty well but better safe than sorry. The seat was a bit small for my wife to be comfortable so we ordered a gel pad seat with more surface area. The original seat is sturdy and fine, this was just her personal preference. Her favorite features are the adjustable shocks, smooth gear changes, and the disc brakes work well (when set up properly). All in all, I would definitely recommend this bike as a smooth rider and light trail riding. ... show more

Nice bike, love the look. Built it pretty easily. Tools are included which is nice. I changed the seat and added a phone holder. I had one problem with the bike, when I built it the chain tensioner was to close to the spokes. When I flipped it upside right it didn’t seem to be a problem. I was wrong. While riding the wheel spokes took the chain tensioner and broke it. Cost me only $75 to fix but $75 on a brand new bike that I paid over $335 is crazy. It is what it is. I got this bike so I can go on rides with my kiddos, I got the bike. It was easy to assemble took my about 20 minutes to put together. I was sad the seat could be a little more padded. And I had to order a water bottle holder to go with it. It was nice the holes where already in place for that. I love the color, it reminds me of my old bike when I was a kid. But my biggest complaint is there was no kick stand, had to buy that separately. Took it out for a 5 mile ride, it was great no issues so far. ... show more

I waited until I received my refund before writing this review. It's that bad. Many of the weight bearing parts on this bike are plastic, or very soft aluminum. The bolts that hold the handlebar on were full of aluminum shavings after unscrewing them to install the handlebar. Of the 4 bolts, two were larger diameter than the others which tells me they were already stripped and retapped at the factory. I would not trust those bolts and soft aluminum stem to support anyone's hands on the handlebars. The derailleur was plastic. Except the the hanger, and it was bent so badly that the derailleur was inside the spokes of the wheel. There was no damage to the box so was packed and shipped this way. One of the holes where the pedals go was stripped and at that point I just packed it back up and arranged for a refund. The only thing good about this bike is the color. I liked the teal and coral scheme. Too bad the bike is not worth $50. Hard to believe they have it priced at $280. ... show more

I bought this bike to get some exercise with my daughter during the pandemic. So far, the bike has been really great after about 5 long rides with her. Her bike seat fits well on the frame which was a big selling point for me. The bike is good looking and rides well! Ordered Hiland MTB from Amazon as gift to my daughter. When box arrived, immediately noticed there where three areas where box where damaged. Went ahead and immediately inspected the contents to ensure MTB wasn't damaged during shipping (Fedex). Company should consider using another shipper if damages like this continues. Luckily all parts were in good condition. All parts were accounted for, including skewers, pedals, bolts, etc. Easy to assembly if you are a novice rider. Only problem encountered is the adjustment of the front disc brake, after mounting the front wheel. Brake pads were rubbing against the disc brakes. The solution is to adjust the front brake calipers by loosening the two mounting bolts. Do not remove the mounting bolts, just loosen enough for the caliper to move. Then, depress brake levers all the way to force the brake pads to clamp onto the disc. Do this two times to ensure brake pads retract when brake levers are release. Depress front brake levers all the way and hold. Proceed and tighten the mounting bolts. Release lever and test front disc brakes. Repeat process if necessary.
