This thermal camera is great and was easy to use on my android phone. The app was easy to install from the play store and once the camera was installed it updated the firmware. The app has so many options that I have not had time to learn all of the features just yet. The camera is so strong that I could see my thermal image in the window from across the entire house. Crazy to believe that my thermal image was being picked up by this small camera. The camera comes with a carrying case and a lens cover to keep it from getting scratched. Ever since I had a minus 11 degree day in Tulsa a few years ago, I decided that I needed a really good way to tell where my doors and windows are leaking air. It took me a while, but I found the best way to accomplish that in this camera. You can see in the photo of the door, where the hot spots are. Yes, all around the door we have hot air coming in and doing a number on my air conditioning (it's summer now, and I live in the desert instead of Tulsa). Of course if air is leaking in the hot weather, it's leaking in the cold weather, too! This photo shows me where to start to fix the problem! The second photo is of a distiller, along with a plastic gallon jug of just-distilled water. We use so much of it, it just makes sense to distill our own. As you can see, the operating distiller on the left is much hotter than its surroundings, as is the jug where the hot distilled water is dripping. But the hottest part is at the conjunction of the distiller and the distilling fan/lid where the heat isn't completely enclosed in the product. That's the bright yellow area. There are several palettes to choose from to show the temperature differences in the way you prefer. For me, the bright yellow for hottest makes the most sense. My number one suggestion with this product is: it's FAR more complex than it appears, being such a small camera. And for me, the user manual is nearly useless because it's written in such small font and I don't seem to be able to transfer the manual to my big computer. So I suggest that you go to the product page and watch the videos, which show in far more detail exactly what all the controls and pieces are for. It's a little hard for me to operate as a newbie....there seem to be more parts than I have hands to control. It does seem best to attach the camera directly to the phone, instead of using the cable, as that removes at least one thing you have to control. If you have a need for this product, I think it's likely the best you're going to get for a non-pro product, and any professional product is going to be a whole lot more costly, without significantly improving your results. It takes practice to use and understand this camera, but for me, it appears to be worthwhile.

Very easy to install. It also comes with a standoff adapter and a short extension to ensure you can use it in different setups. The plug is up a bit so it fits with my phone case which I liked. The app isn't super fancy but works well and doesn't have constant crashes like other external camera apps I've used. The camera does have a self calibration mode that basically resets the camera every 5 seconds. Luckily you can turn this off as is makes it pretty unusable. Not sure why the calibration time is so short but temps seem to remain pretty accurate even with this off. Overall I'm happy with this camera.

This is so easy to use and get some amazing results and pictures. Installation was as simple as downloading the app and plugging the camera into my phone. Took seconds. I tried it on both my phone and my tablet. Now with my table it only works in portrait mode but that is fine. The basic operation is simple. You pretty much just point and shoot or just move it around and look at the image. This is so helpfull to find places in your house where you are losing heat because of lack of insulation. You can also look through wall and the inside wires. Very nice and easy to use I really like it.

We are so amazed by this thermal imaging camera, it’s super easy to set up and works perfect with my android phone. It is definitely very good quality and it comes with a carrying case and lens cover. This would be great to use around the house or even on your vehicle. My husband has been playing around with it since we got it, he’s so happy with it and so am I lol. Very nice camera!! Would Recommend!!

Easy to set up and use. All I have done so far is Play with it, but I cannot wait to get serious with it. I work on old houses, fix them up, rent them or sell them. And I can really do wonders with this item. I will tell you more this July and August.

Camera is definitely 5 stars, but required app to operate is 3 stars at best. Glitchy and rotates between multiple types of glitches with each use. Overall, it's still usable and is a awesome tool. But for this price, the app needs to be rock solid.
