  • Putzie Poles Putzie Poles
These rod holders are a great idea for fisherman. They hold rods with a quick attachment design. The only real issue is getting the holders to stand on the handles within your vehicle. Some cars will likely fit much better than others but some trouble has been seen getting this to stay on the hand holds. These door hand holds are usually located up from the rear tail gate which also makes it a pain to reach from the back, you almost need to insert the rods from the back then attached to the holder from the rear doors. The poles were difficult to extend at first but once apart they were fine. Once everything is in the stability during travel is fine. Long rods will also have a fit issue that extends into your front windshield. I suspect to rubber bands to not last more than a summer if left in a hot car. Overall a good idea that might work well with some select vehicles. ... show more

  • Great Way to Transport Fishing Rods Without the Tangles
I purchased this fishing rod holder for my SUV, and it has made transporting fishing gear much easier. Before installing it, my rods would slide around in the back of the vehicle and often become tangled. Now everything stays organized, secure, and out of the way. The adjustable design fit my vehicle well, and installation was quick with no complicated tools required. I was able to customize the length to fit the interior space perfectly. The holder feels sturdy and securely supports multiple rods without sagging. I especially like that it keeps the rods elevated near the roof, leaving plenty of room for passengers and other gear. The straps hold the rods firmly in place, even when driving on rough roads or making sudden stops. The ability to carry up to five rods is a huge plus for fishing trips with family or friends. It helps protect the rods from damage and keeps the vehicle much more organized. Overall, this is a practical and well-designed accessory for anglers who regularly travel with fishing gear. If you're tired of rods rolling around your vehicle, this holder is an excellent solution and well worth the investment. ... show more

  • I really wanted to like this rod holder, but it didn’t work for me I really wanted to like this rod holder, but it didn’t work for me
I frequently take a rod in my car, and I was looking for a more secure option beyond laying down the second seat and putting the rod in the bottom of the vehicle. I had hoped this rod holder would be that solution. I installed it in my Honda CR-V. I immediately noticed an issue. When fit to the grab handles, there was less than 3 feet between the two bars for supporting the rods. Consequently, even with a short 5 ft. rod, with the reel seat in the back rod holder, the front rod guide was actually touching the windshield (see photo). With a longer rod, it wasn’t possible to get the reel supported by the back rod holder (see photo). In looking at the directions that came with the rod holder, and the pictures in the item description on Amazon, it showed most of the rods in the rod holder without reels on them. In the configuration in my car, if there was more than 3 feet between the reel and the end of the rod, the rod and reel combo wouldn’t fit in the way I’d want it to fit, with the reel supported between the two rod holders. Two of my reels have reel clamps on them, so to use the rod holders, I would have had to remove remove the reels, which would require removing the reel clamps, and that would take time and effort that I wouldn’t want to use every time I put the rod in the car. In addition, if you were able keep the reel on the rod, it would tend to be in the way if you had back seat passengers, and the rod tips would likely be in the way of your front seat passengers if you used all all five spots on the rod holders. Unless you have a very large, long vehicle with a spacing between the grab bars that spans the distance between your reel and the rod tip and/or you are willing to remove your reels every time you use the rod holder, it isn’t likely to be a good solution for you. I gave this item two stars because the components appeared to be high quality and it was easy to assemble and install in the vehicle. Given that this item didn't work for me, in my vehicle, I didn't consider the rod holder to be worth the price. Photos show the rod tip of a five foot rod touching the windshield, and the position of the reels when left on the rod. ... show more

  • This is a must have for your fishing gear. I love it!
These are an absolute game changer for me. I live in S.E. Oklahoma and fishing is a favorite pastime for me. I have a small crossover wagon and usually toss my gear in the back. But the poles always get wonky and move around when driving, and sadly I went to roll my driver's door window down and pushed the back window instead. I immediately rolled it back up to hear a sickening "CRUNCH", which just so happened to be the end of my fishing pole. This little item hangs on the pull handles and the poles mount up along the roof of the car and out of harms way. The price is decent because anyone that fishes, knows how expensive those rods can get. I will definitely use this and highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys the sport of fishing. ... show more
