I saved a ton of money using this instead of an Aerogarden. I have learned how to craft one myself. I purchased extra air balls just to have them on hand. I sit this next to my aerogarden so that my garden gets enough light. I have 2 of them in a grow tent. The best purchase yet. I love it. It is also a great gift. Make sure you are available to help set up as the unit does not come with good instructions. I did have to figure it out on my own.

It’s easy to set up but there are no real instructions. You’re just provided with the diagram of how it should be set up. Because of this, my water level leaks. I’ve done everything I can to stop it from leaking and it still does. I had to finally tape the leak off to stop it from leaking. I do not recommend using the rocks and starter fluff they give you. Buy Rapid Rooters and use that instead. and IT DOESNT TELL YOU HOW MANY GALLONS THIS IS

The media could not be loaded. I’ve spent two hours trying to push the rubber stoppers to stop the drip and it just drips. No water pump either which you will want to time irrigate your plants.

When you calculate how much time it would take to source the parts and tools and make one of these yourself, this is a solid purchase for a new hydroponic gardener. To improve on this system, I would replace the grow rocks with smaller size media—the 16mm LECA balls cannot fit into the 1” net cups to be effective. You will need something else for your plants to grow in. I like the way that the whole system is black, this keeps algae down and avoids light pollution. At first, I did not like the plugs in the sides of the reservoir, but now I see how these openings make cleaning and turning the lid easier. The tweezers and rockwool are useful. I would buy this product again.

It works well for flowering clones in a perpetual harvest SOG situation. May not work as well for larger plants, but I got it to flower smaller clones. May as more as needed.

This was a great idea for budget hydroponics but there are a lot of parts. It does work, but getting plants started isn't easy, expect a lot of trial and error. You will need to make additional purchases to grow anything, this is pretty much a diy approach. In the end gave up and purchased a second aerogarden to use instead.
