Wasn't too difficult to assemble. Took some time. But looks good. Want to get a more aggressive set of tires. But other than that it's comfortable to ride.

Horrible! My son rode this for about a month before the entire crank shift buckled and bent off while he was riding it. Horrible! I wish I had taken my money and put it towards something better! I really wish this would have worked out for him

Love this bike! It was a gift for my wife for Mother's Day. She absolutely loves it. Assembly was pretty simple with the exception of the brake setup. It was simple for me because I have quite a bit of experience with tools and making sure things are in sync on mechanical items. If you aren't as skilled with hand tools, you should find resources on the proper way to setup and tune disc brakes on a multi-gear bike. It's not that difficult but if done incorrectly, it can affect the smoothness of the ride. It can also result in catastrophic brake failure (in extreme cases). So better to seek additional instruction. The manual lays it out pretty well but better safe than sorry. The seat was a bit small for my wife to be comfortable so we ordered a gel pad seat with more surface area. The original seat is sturdy and fine, this was just her personal preference. Her favorite features are the adjustable shocks, smooth gear changes, and the disc brakes work well (when set up properly). All in all, I would definitely recommend this bike as a smooth rider and light trail riding.

Ordered Hiland MTB from Amazon as gift to my daughter. When box arrived, immediately noticed there where three areas where box where damaged. Went ahead and immediately inspected the contents to ensure MTB wasn't damaged during shipping (Fedex). Company should consider using another shipper if damages like this continues. Luckily all parts were in good condition. All parts were accounted for, including skewers, pedals, bolts, etc. Easy to assembly if you are a novice rider. Only problem encountered is the adjustment of the front disc brake, after mounting the front wheel. Brake pads were rubbing against the disc brakes. The solution is to adjust the front brake calipers by loosening the two mounting bolts. Do not remove the mounting bolts, just loosen enough for the caliper to move. Then, depress brake levers all the way to force the brake pads to clamp onto the disc. Do this two times to ensure brake pads retract when brake levers are release. Depress front brake levers all the way and hold. Proceed and tighten the mounting bolts. Release lever and test front disc brakes. Repeat process if necessary. Latest update: Rode this bike on local trail. Holds up nicely.

Very nice, affordable, bike. (I checked prices at walmart for and this beat theirs by a lot.) The box was damaged, but the bike was well packed and received no damage. The quality is much nicer than I expected. The color is nicer in person. The name across the bike is 'BAMCBASE', Not Hiland, although Hiland is in the instruction book. It's fully adjustable in the seat and handle bar height. Assembly was easy enough. It rides smoothly, shifts alright, but a tough rough, so I'll have to adjust that... from YT videos I guess. Overall, I think it's a genuine value. With the 'coupon', I paid about $220 total. I would recommend it, and would buy it again.

I purchased 2 of these bikes for my grandkids for Christmas. One bike went together without problems the other one has been nothing but problematic. First issue, one of the screws that holds the handlebars onto bike was an incorrect size. The thickness and tread size was different from the other 3 screws and who ever did this forced the screw into the nut and stripped some threads. Second, the front wheel is off center and I'm not sure how to correct this. I installed it the same as the other bike whose wheel is centered. Bent fork possibly?? Third, the hand speed changer levers are difficult to push so that the derailleur system changes sprockets (cog wheel). It has completely stopped changing gears either up or down. The user manual doesn't cover the mountain bike assembly instructions where certain areas are different than the other bikes. My one grandson is extremely happy with his bike, the other grandson is very unhappy and had only ridden it once before the speed changer levers quit working. This one may be returned for a replacement. UPDATE: Emailed customer support about problems and they asked me to take bike to local bike shop. Bike shop repaired all issues and HILAND paid for all the repairs. Bike has been working perfectly since then. My grandson is very happy now.

The media could not be loaded. The bike is nice. Customer service is really bad. They really think you are dumb. Bike came with a bent fork and i just asked to replace the fork. They told me to take pics and tighten screws which would not help. I know exactly what is wrong. ITS A BENT FORK. After 15 emails they said the would replace the bike. I asked for a tracking number and they replied to take it to a bike shop to get the wheel straighten. Its not the wheel its the fork. The brake doesnt even line up correctly. They obviously think i am dumb and done know what i am talking about or looking at. I think the final tally of emails was 25. They are very dishonset people. But i should have known that with an email address from china and a person named jennifer. The bike is nice looking just a problem with the fork and customer service that think customers are dumb. In the end i will have to buy a new fork. Juat beware very dishonet people and customer service. They say one thing and try to just keep leading you on so they dont have to take accountability for thier product being damaged. Thats fine though there are many more people in the world like this. I wont buy their product anymore just cause of bad company and people. BUYER BEWARE
