However, one area where the Heybike Tyson could be improved is its gearing. The bikes higher speeds require more resistance, and its current gear system doesn't provide the necessary support. I believe one or even two higher gears would help address this issue, making the bike even more desirable for riders who often travel at higher speeds and/or longer distances. In summary, the Heybike Tyson is a great electric bike that offers impressive performance and design. While it could benefit from a higher gearing system, the overall package is hard to beat for the price. I would highly recommend this ebike to anyone. Update: 6/9/23 Upon folding and removing battery for the first time while prepping for a bike trip I discovered that the wires underneath the battery are stripped bare. This could not only be a fire hazard but also a potential of being shocked. Contacted support about issue and will update accordingly. Update: 8/13/23 Heybike replaced the wires, an even offered to pay for a shop to do the work. Overall it is a good bike for the price. Well built and quite sturdy. Would definitely recommend.

Bike is a nice entry level bike Advertising it as Aluminum frame, it is steel but still not bad, battery life and range is great, not sure the motor is truly 500w seems like 350w Would buy again at sale price.

I live in a densely populated area with limited parking, so I bought this e-bike as a way to get around town. It comes in a 100lb box. You have to assemble it yourself. All the tools are included, and there is a Youtube video that shows you how. I thought the video was a little confusing, it took me about 1.5 hrs to assemble. The bike itself is very fun to ride. This isn't really a bicycle, it's an electric scooter they put pedals on. It is extremely powerful, even at the lowest assist setting. There is a throttle if you need an extra boost to get up a hill or to get going from a stop sign. At the higher settings, pedaling does nothing, even if you are in the lowest gear. Pedaling is just a way to tell the bike to turn the motor on. The ride is comfortable and the shock absorbers are nice to have. You won't get much exercise with this bike. They say it goes 28mph, and I was able to get close to that. Out of the box, the bike is limited to 20mph, you have to go into the phone app to unlock higher speeds. I recommend a certified e-bike helmet - a standard bike helmet is going to be inadequate. They say the range is 65 miles. I doubt that, unless you use only the lowest setting and avoid the throttle. I rode about 5 miles around my town and drained the battery to 90%, making me think it has about 50 miles of range. I was using the higher assist settings for most of my ride. The battery life indicator jumps around randomly when you switch assist settings. It doesn't seem very reliable, like electric cars. Riding this bike without power assist is quite difficult because of its weight and fat tires, so you don't want to be stranded far from home. You can fold it up and put in the back of your car, but you may need someone to help you depending on your strength. I bought an industrial strength motorcycle chain and a Kryptonite u-lock to deter thieves. This bike is going to be a big target for them. Don't use a steel cable, anything less than 5/8" can be defeated by a strong man with bolt cutters. The bike has some anti-theft features such as tracking and locking the wheels automatically when you leave it.

The battery life on this thing is absolutely amazing! The battery has lasted me for a 5+ hour ride with pedal assist. The light for night-time rides is phenomenal. I love that it comes with a horn. The TFT screen is easy to read, clean, and clear. The ride is so smooth and I love that this bike comes with a rack for the back.
