I was willing to give this dog food a try because it is made in the US, with quality ingredients, and has a high protien content (25%) for my active dog. He absolutely loves it! The kibbles are large, which obviously wouldn't be great for small dogs, but are great in the wobble feeder I use to entertain and slow my dog down. It has sorghum as the third ingredient, which seems kind of like a filler to me, and I don't know how that's better than corn, wheat, or soy. It also has peas as the fifth ingredient, which is concerning to me, as peas (and other legumes) have been shown to be associated with cardiomyopathies in certain breeds, and which I thus generally try to avoid. I think it would be fine occasionally, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it as an occasional food or as a treat. It is definitely not cheap, and is comparable to premium brands like Purina ProPlan. But yes, I would buy this food again.

We got the grass-fed beef brown rice and sweet potato recipe premium dog food. Our dog came over when we got the package, he must have sensed it was for him so we opened it and let him try it on the spot. He ate is and seemed to like it well enough, we gave some to the other dogs too and they ate theirs. The size is fine for large and medium dogs, all ours are medium. The advertising listsbeveral health benefits on the product page. While I didn't taste it myself, the dogs have had it, and we are satisfied with the dog food and our pups seem to be too.

This dog food was a little hard for my dog to get interested in for some reason. She's a picky eater and at first, she left these morsels in the bowl while she ate the other food around it, lol. Eventually, she began to eat a few bites here and there and after a few weeks of presenting, has finally relented to eating everything in the bowl. I don't feed just kibble, but feel that it adds the bulk and fiber that she needs to balance her diet. I mix this with homemade ingredients that I blend from scratch. I also want to be sure she's not missing out on key vitamins/nutrients and ingredients with a harder texture to help maintain good dental hygiene. My dog adjusted well as far as bowel movements, stomach issues, etc. Her only issue was the initial adjustment to a new diet addition. I should note, she's not a "large" dog and the morsels are not difficult for her to manage at all. Though this product is marketed for large dogs, it seems to be fine for my smaller girl. These are manageable medium-sized brown disks. They are dry, hard and uniform in size/shape. My picky little gal seems to be able to crunch them up easily, and they are large enough to require actual chewing - not just wolfing it down, so she benefits from the teeth cleaning that results from chewing up the solid morsels. The ingredients are average in comprehensiveness of a good quality dog food. She adjusted to the taste/smell relatively quickly. It's helpful to me that I can leave a little bit of this kibble in the bowl all day without worrying about spoilage, which is a concern for her fresh food. I let her snack whenever she wishes, as she never over eats. This has been an added convenience feature for us!

Jinx Premium Dry Dog Food for Large Dogs - Adult Dog Food with Real Beef, Brown Rice & Sweet Potato Kibble with Antioxidants for Joint Health, Mobility & Immune Support - No Fillers : I got this for my 4 year old Pitty Mix. The ingredients are similar to his usual food, but he has been eating less lately and losing weight, so I thought I'd try something else to see if he will eat more. Comparison of ingredients. Jinx has Beef, chicken meal, brown rice, peas, barley, turkey meal, beef fat, flaxseed, alfalfa, beet pulp, sweet potatoes, sunflower oil, fish oil, blueberries, cinnamon, coconut meal, cranberries, kelp, spearmint, pumpkin, spinach, and yucca. Along with vitamins and nutrients. His usual food has Lamb, brown rice, oatmeal, rice bran, egg, chicken fat, beet pulp, flaxseed, chickory root, kale, chia seed, pumpkin, blueberries, oranges, quinoa, kelp, coconut, spinach, carrots, papaya, and yucca. Taurine and other vitamins and nutrients. Both brands are similar in shape and size of kibble. The Jinx is a bit darker brown than his usual food. They also smell similar to me. I like that the Jinx has a lot of natural fruits, vegetables, and seeds just like his usual brand. The one thing I noticed was missing from the ingredients list of the Jinx, vs his usual brand was Taurine. Having a Taurine supplement in a grain-free food is really important to keep your dog's heart healthy. Price - Archie's usual food is $47 for a 40lb bag, which breaks down to $1.17 per pound. The Jinx is $26.78 for 11.5lbs, which breaks down to $2.33 per pound. So it is a bit more expensive. Archie's reaction to the Jinx food: He was curious about it and went right to his bowl and smelled it, but didn't eat any. I left it sit there, and he finally went back to it that night and ate a little bit. He didn't touch it the second day at all. This morning he ate a little bit more. He never finished his bowl, and did not seem to enjoy it. The bag arrived fresh and crunchy. He was able to chew and swallow what little he did eat easily, but this does not seem to be the answer to getting him to eat more and put on weight so his bones don't stick out.

My 4 dogs enjoyed this bag of food. I have two picky dogs and 3 with sensitive tummies and allergies. This food worked perfectly will all 4 dogs. In dog food advisor this brand received a highly recommended score of 5. Will definitely be buying more for my pups
