I bought two of the Heybike Cityrun e-bikes (one black and the other green). They arrived separately as the green version was on backorder. Both bikes arrived in fine condition although there was a bit of damage to both boxes. The protective packaging around the bike parts protected the bikes. I have seen some complaints in reviews about the assembly video and the manual they got are not the same as the bike they received. So, I went to the official online Heybike.com and found the most current manual which matched the bike I received. I own other non-motorized bikes and have always worked on them myself, so I do feel I have a bit of knowledge on how bikes go together. These Heybikes went together with ease. However, I would not recommend someone do it if they have never worked on a bike before (adjustments, maintenance, etc.) The first bike took me about 1.5 hours to put it together and make adjustments, being very careful. The second bike about an hour. On both bikes I did have to adjust the front and back brakes to center the rotor between the brake pads. (Great YouTube videos out there will show you how if you have never aligned Hydraulic disc brakes. ) This is my first e-bike experience, and I can say I am having a great time with this bike. So far, I have got about 30+ miles. On fairly flat ground I was able to achieve 22 mph using PAS 5 and pedaling in the highest gear (7). Didn’t even feel like I was working hard. Our town sits on top of a bluff and has steep hills going to all the fun destinations. These bikes are game changers for going back up the steep bluff hills to get home. No problem with the pedal assist. Yesterday, I decided to go on flat ground with throttle only and did get up to 20 mph in PAS Level 5. I also have used it as a bike without the motor turned on and I love the gearing. My old Trek is a 21 speed and none of the sets of gearing feels as nice as this. It feels more like the feel of the gears on our old Schwinn 12 speed touring bike somehow, which is a good thing. These bikes have front and rear lights, break light (flashes), and turning lights (on both front and rear lights). What a great safety feature. That was one of the things that turned me to this reasonably priced e-bike. You do need to turn off the turn light after you make the turn. These bikes have front suspension which can be locked and adjusted. This is new to me, my previous bikes do not have front suspension. I did set it to a stiffer level for me, which is on the opposite side of the lockout (blue) lever. I felt like both bikes were set to such a low level it would be easy to bottom out on a big bump. Now that I did that, I really appreciate having front suspension! I didn’t need to adjust the handlebar position, but it is possible if you need to do that. The Hand grips are nice faux leather, with a good shape for my hands. They are adjustable and I set them to a bit lower, for my wrists. I am used to a gel seat, so this seat is not a gel seat, but I’m not uncomfortable on the seat that came with the bike. The tires are road tires without knobs. I have never heard of the tire brand and had to look it up. As far as I can tell they come from reliable manufacturer in China (Info from a MS Copilot search). So, I give these Heybike Cityrun e-bikes a thumbs up for a solid e-bike. So far, I’m having a lot of fun riding, I have not had any problems with any of the systems on either of these bikes.

After reading many reviews and watching many videos, I decided on HeyBike. Well, one month later, I could not be happier. I am partially disabled, and it is difficult for me to exercise. But I love riding my eBike. It allows me to pedal all I can, and then the electric motor takes over and pedals for me. I can also adjust the amount of assistance the bike provides. I want to buy another one for my wife. Did I mention that I love my HeyBike?

Very nice bike. I just got back from the very enjoyable 25 mile maiden voyage. Assembly: the instructions are written in poor English. Pictures are sparse, and there are some important steps left out. Through common sense, however, it’s doable. The screws that hold on my rear fender were not there (I’ll have to pick up two screws at the Home Depot), There is a guard over the derailleur, and for me it interfered with the function of the derailleur. There want enough space for the derailleur to move. I took the guard off and it works fine. I contacted Heybike and I hope for an explanation/replacement guard. The ride is fantastic. Getting up hills is suddenly a breeze and doing 16-18 mph on flat ground with pedal assist is easy. Lots of gears and pedal assist settings. Very comfortable. It even has a cute little horn. Buy one. We’ll ride together.

I had been looking to purchase two commuter comfort style e-bikes in the $2,000 dollar range for my myself and my wife. In my area we had very few opportunities to actually test ride any of the bikes on our list. So your stuck with the decision to purchase sight unseen and without knowing if the bike will be a good fit for you. Since I am 6ft,1 and my wife is 5ft,7 Heybike Cityrun gave us everything we where looking for. We purchased one Cityrun, road it and purchased a second. Customer Service has been excellent and they have answered all of my questions in a timely fashion. If you are looking for a comfort e-bike Cityrun should be on your list. At $1,299 it a great value a quality well made e-bike.

The instructions (photo of page attached) state the upper tire pressure is 65 psi for stock tires that arrived with the bike. I inflated the front 60 PSI. A few minutes later the tire exploded. (Photo attached) My neighbor thought a gun had gone off. Thankfully I was not nearby when the tire exploded or I could have been seriously injured. The second problem I had was that the bike arrived with one of two fender screws missing. I sent the rep a photo of the screw from one side to show the representative which screw was missing on the other side. First the rep said they did not have replacement screws so she would have to send me a whole new fender. Then she emailed me claiming wrongly that the photo I sent showed the screw was not missing. This company’s support desk is totally incompetent in my view. I still have not received the replacement inner tube and tire . I have still not received the missing fender screw. I still have not been able to ride this brand new bike even once despite it arriving and having been assembled (except for the fender being attached and exploded tire) weeks ago. I regret my purchase and advise against buying this bike or this brand. Not only was the shipment incomplete, the support has been non responsive and in my opinion the bike arrived in an unsafe condition.

I dont know how long the battery will last. I've put around 20mi on one charge without problems but when it stops I dont know. Very comfortable to ride, love the front suspension, and the original seat was good but I did replace it with a wide spring seat for more comfort for my 70plus old butt. everything works lights, brakes, motor etc....what more could you ask for....
