A tree knocked out a third of my fence. It was devastating as I have two big dogs, a lab and a shepard mix. After the tree was removed, I put up this fence. As you can see, I used my existing poles. Yes, the fabric is flimsy but much easier to use (and cheaper) than chicken wire. Yes, the stakes are flimsy and should be a foot taller than the fence fabric. The stakes go in the ground easy enough if you drill a hole for them. But, it keeps my dogs in until the fence folks come in a week or so to repair my fence. As an aside, my dogs are used to a fence being there so they don't test it. A younger dog, or a new dog, might realize they can just go right through. For me, it works. Your mileage may vary. Aslso, a four foot fence should have five foot stakes, hence the 4 star rating. ... show more

    • The stakes are too short for the fence but otherwise this suited my needs
I used the fence for a temporary barrier to keep pets from a certain area of the yard. They never try to escape the yard at all so a light-weight barrier was all I needed to keep them from going through. The install for this is easy but my only complaint is that with a four foot fence, you need stakes longer than that to allow for being set into the ground. At least 4.5' or better yet 5' foot stakes would have been better that the 4' stakes provided. ... show more

It’s not the prettiest or sturdiest fence, but it does the job. I needed something cheap to divide the yard of the duplex I just rented and keep my dogs off the neighbor’s side. It probably won’t last forever, and it might not be great for dogs who dig, but it works just fine for me.

Can’t beat the cost. The rods could certainly be of better quality, as they don’t hold up well to being pounded into the ground. Your best bet is to make a hole with a long stake & hammer first, twist the rod into said hole, then lightly tap and tamper the rod into place.

I replaced a section of lawn and wanted to prevent my little dogs from trampling the seeds. This rolled out easy and the stakes was easy to put up. It did the job of keeping the little dogs out. However, the stakes are very weak and bend and break extremely easy. I don't see getting much if a second use out of the stakes. While I didn't expect the poles to be all that sturdy, they were certainly not long enough for the purpose they serve. Along with that 50-75% of the zip ties they supply with this break under the slightest pressure. Make sure if you do decide to buy this you buy other zip ties. I bought it to keep animals away from my vegetables, so far it works as expected. The fence comes with posts and zip ties. The posts seem to be metal, pretty sturdy. The holes are bigger than expected, smaller birds can get through, but it could keep the bunnies out, and none of my vegetables got stolen. Overall, it is a great product. ... show more
