Overall it deserves 4.8 stars. I take a couple of points away because of a couple minor issues. Firstly the instructions are incomplete. You might take a while to figure out the headlight because it is controlled by two different switches… one by the horn and one under the throttle marked “auto”. Also, the seat drop mechanism needs adjustment and relocation IMO. It was so loose that it felt flimsy and was too close to your hand. I moved it to the other side of the control panel and tightened the adjustment. See pic. Now it barely takes a touch to drop the seat and it no longer crowds the space for my left hand. I use it all the time. I drop the seat when I stop so I can stay on the seat and pop it back up when I want to pedal. I’ve been riding on some dirt roads so am glad I bought the fenders. Also the rack and bags are nice quality. The Brawn can do 28mph and it does so with ease. But, don’t expect to go 30 miles distance at full speed. You should be able to go much farther than 30 miles at assist level 2-3. This bike is heavy so you will always need some assist to get very far. Overall quality of manufacture is very good and this bike is a blast. The company gave me excellent customer service when my charger died they immediately sent me a replacement, no questions asked. The Heybike Brawn is every bit as good as it looks. As a postscript I would add that I adjusted the fit of the rack to make the fit better so that I would not scratch the paint when tightening down the bolts. Also, the accessories that I ordered were shipped a few days behind the arrival of the bike without any notice until I asked. ... show more

After getting it put together, it has been great. Ordered a package deal and all items were not in stock. I had to keep an eye on the partial refund. Purchased this bike with an eye to commuting. Now I'm not a small person, so I needed something for a 6'4" person, and this fit the bill. I did have a small problem with the order as the fenders, and rear rack were back ordered and did not arrive with the bike. Took about 10 days to get all the parts here, but it's all together now and rides wonderfully. The only complaint I would have, is that I could have used some instructions to go with putting on the fenders and rear rack. That bottom screw on the fenders was troublesome. Bottom line, 9 out of 10, with one missing for the lack of instruction on installing the fendors and rack. ... show more

Great aggressive looking, sturdy ebike for the money. Fairly easy to assemble, I was taking it for a test ride about an hour after I started putting it together. I was impressed with the power of this bike. It's definitely not all bark, this bike has some bite too. I am happy with my purchase.

    • About the accessories

This review is about the extra accessories ordered for the bike. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the lack of information about the accessories (rear rack, fenders, ect.). Basically, what happens is that they ship you the bike, but the accessories come in separate shipments. You don't get any information/indications beforehand of when they ship (and as I understand, they ship when the items become available), so you might not hear anything for some time. And they can all come in separate shipments, vs all at once. In the meanwhile, you are just sitting in the dark, twiddling your thumbs as Amazon considers the order complete once you get the bike. Case in point, I got the fenders, rear rack, and bike bag, and they all got shipped at different times, with different delivery dates. The only indication I got that they shipped was from random FEDEX texts telling me when to expect the deliveries of these packages that at first, I was trying to figure out what I ordered lol. I think HEYBIKE or Amazon needs to explain this process better so people aren't left in the dark about where the rest of their order is. So to shine some light on the FEDEX notifications (since you won't know what's in the box): If you got the fenders, expect the shipment to come from CA. It will be 4lbs and be in box 34x12x5in If you got the saddle bag, expect the shipment to come from CA. It will be 4lbs and be in a box 14x14x4in If you got the rear rack, expect the shipment to come from NJ. It will be 6lbs and be in a box 25x16x9in If you got anything else, sorry.
