I bought my first HexClad, a 9" frying pan and loved it. I came back in to buy this 13" Griddle... have now used it and love it also! I have decided to replace all my frying pans to HexClad. The pans cook food very well and even, and the clean up is a dream. I will be coming back to replace all my frying pans, one piece at a time, but I will be coming back! ... show more

This was a Christmas present ordered for me. I had my eye in it for over a year. I like it better that my cast iron one and my another that I have but it did warp some after I used it after the 3rd time. I made sure to change from front to back on my cooktop each use. It seem to stick a bit towards the middle and I try to be extra deliberate there when cleaning. I use it, handwash and dry, place it in the black bag, and then back I the box to store it. I really hope it doesn't come continue to warp further. ... show more

I figured.. well Gordan Ramsay is saying these are good, so it is worth a shot. I had bought several of the "Always Pans" on similar promises. With each new line of those, they are lighter and scratch more easily. I'll miss my pretty pink pans, but I want pans that WORK without me having to be on eggshells. These Hexclad pull their weight. Having a hexclad pan and a gas stove makes me feel like some kind of professional chef every time I cook. I will warn you, though, it took MUCH lower heat settings than I had been using. My cooking times decreased drastically. I can use whatever utensils I need, metal, wood, plastic.. etc. Also, the lids are safe to grab even when using them on pans on the burners. I don't put any of my Hexclad in the dishwasher. ... show more

I used to fear the griddle. I’ve lost too many good pancakes to the 'sticky center' of inferior pans. But this HexClad? It’s like cooking on a laser-etched honeycomb from the future. I used a metal spatula on it just to feel the thrill of danger, and the pan just laughed at me. My eggs slide around like they’re on an Olympic luge, yet my bacon gets a sear that would make a steakhouse jealous. It’s expensive, but so is therapy for ruined breakfasts. ... show more

    • Great Griddle and you get what you pay for

Very slick, when you follow the guide for seasoning the result is a super non-stick surface that requires two utensils for the average person to keep food from sliding off the edges. The griddle has very good heating properties, and is mostly even heating in the center of the pan on long edge. The edges about 1.5 to 2 inches from each edge heat and cook but not as hot as the center section. Also, its very very slightly rounded or higher in the middle so that all the oil/grease runs to the outside, and since the edges are not as hot, this prevents that oil/grease from burning while cooking to completion. I’ve used it at least 8 times since buying and like the fact that I can cook 8-10 strips of bacon at one time. Cooking tuna steaks on it was great and they cooked to perfection. Timing completion of meat cooking and then starting eggs, with no change in temp, was a breeze to get both done at the same time. Follow the instructions! You don’t need as much heat on this griddle as with frying pans! ... show more
