This product is lightweight, smells delicious and, of course better than gel. I only use it where I need it. I need it to hold my curls in shape around my face. I wear my hair up a lot and the same trindles show up around my hairline all the way down to the front of my ears. What's in these bottles is a, wear you need it kind of staying power with shine and touchable feel for hours. If your curls have become dry over time from being in the cell phone and what not, lf you are near your water spray bottle; use it to tighten and shine your curls, if not, just use a little tap water from the top of the ear and watch the water wind down to the ends of your hair. This is not hair "spray." It spritzes little globs of sticky dots onto my hair which just sit there. And the SMELL! I couldn't breathe! Had to leave the room, but the smell was on my head and wouldn't let up. Later, went back down the hall and the smell was still thick in that whole end of the house. Had to open windows. Seriously, the next day, I was still gagging from the smell still stuck in my hair until I gave up and just rewashed it.
