Needed more light in a guest bedroom that faces SW and doesn't get a lot of light due to a single window. The lamp went together in literally a few minutes and it seems sturdy. Unless you really like the look of "gold", then pass on this lamp. My mistake in thinking the pictures made it look a bit more like a darker gold color. It's not. I like the design, it just wasn't what I was looking for. The shade is also white. So if you're looking for more of an ivory or cream colored shade, this won't be it.
