I love the fragrance and prefer wood wick (these have an especially nice asmr crackle while burning); I also found the packaging better than most jar candles. It comes in a thick box with a black drawstring bag (good for a gift), and the jar itself is beautiful and includes a lid. Also wasn't expecting a bonus travel candle - that extra little bonus is why I'm writing this review! They are different fragrance from the one I ordered so got to try a small version of another fragrance (that I probably wouldn't have tried on my own but smells amazing: lychee mangosteen). So far it doesn't have a super strong smell while burning but it is subtle enough for ambiance. I'm really happy with my candles (and bonus candles!) and look forward to trying other fragrances. ... show more

I was curious about this scent, I had tried a few other scents by Hemlock Park and I loved them. This one definitely did not disappoint! As soon as I lit the wood wick, I heard the crackling sound and the sweet spiced scent began to fill my living room. The scent is delightful if you love sweet spices, it reminds me of cookies and spices- like nutmeg, cinnamon, or allspice. Very nice and relaxing. I really love this company a lot, they are environmentally responsible and they make sure their candles are non-toxic. They also included a free little tea light candle as well! Aggressive crackling. Ever heard of it? Me neither, but I thought that at one point when I had this lit. The smell is great, and I do love the sound, but at times it can be a little much lol. With that said, the scent is really nice and it lasted surprisingly long for us as well!

Scent: Blood Orange Sage Size: Standard 7.2 oz
So, first of all I was really surprised at how well the smell carried. It was pretty nicely scented about 5 feet out from the candle. The wick was a really wonderful feature I had not yet ever seen or I guess I should say heard. As the wick burns it emits a pleasant soft and relaxing crackling sound. I have used up this whole candle and i would say it burned about 12-15 hours so you get a lot of enjoyment from one candle. One quick thing to note is a serious safety issue. You MUST trim the wick to 1/4 inch before you relight the candle. If you forget to do this quick and simple step the fire will burn so hot it is very possible to start the outer plastic on the glass on fire. If not caught in time that could easily start a much larger fire. I wish they had made this warning more clear and present but they don't so be sure not to forget to cut the wick EVERY SINGLE TIME you re-light this candle. ... show more

The frankincense smells like Johnson baby powder, nothing like frankincense. A free oakmoss candle that came with it smells exactly the same. Could it be that all the fragrances are the same and they just slap a different label on each jar? If so, whoever's in charge must be really desperate to save a dime. ... show more
