After seeing the crossbars on my friend’s 2025 Honda CR-V, I knew I had to get a set for my 2024 CR-V Hybrid. These are not your average roof racks—they’re specifically designed for the CR-V and the fit is spot-on. I was pleasantly surprised to receive aluminum black matte-coated crossbars instead of the usual glossy or plastic-trimmed ones. They look sleek and feel incredibly sturdy. These weren't the easiest to install but once we got it on they worked really well. To install it was hard to get the ends into the clips on the roof rack. In addition, the instructions were poor. They were hard to follow. But as I said, once we did get them installed it was easy enough to install other types of racks on them (like ski racks). I also love that the bars lock.

For the past few years I've used a cheaper pair of "aero" crossbars priced around $80 for transporting bikes, kayaks and whatever else I would put up on my roof. While it did the job, the parts were kind of cheap and there was a good deal of flex in the bars. However, I saw these available and decided to give them a try. The difference is pretty remarkable. There is almost no flex to the crossbars which is very important when driving with 150 pounds of kayak on the roof. In the wind with my old bars, the kayaks would sway back and forth in high crosswinds or behind a trailer on the highway. But with these crossbars the sway is minimal and everything appears much more secure even with the same setup strapped to the top of them. The "handles" or mounting brackets are reinforced with metal which is a step up from what I used to have. This leads to a much more secure hold and prevents swaying. Gone are the days of the old plastic ones which would need tightened up for the first few uses in order to keep them tight. I've put these on and checked them a week or two later of hauling and they're still very tight. Installation was easy, just a few pieces to put together and I had them up on the roof. I like that these aren't as low profile as the ones I used to have, so I can reach my hand underneath them easily to install kayak straps without having to burn my hand on the black car exterior in the hot sun on a summer day. They look great and I think I even prefer the slightly higher look of them. As far as noise goes I haven't noticed anything different between them and my old ones, there is very minimal noise with these bars on, when compared to something like having a roof rack on them which can be very noisy. Very happy that I picked these up, I figure they will last some years yet and the addition of locks to them makes me feel a bit more peace of mind that my stuff is secure and not going to get stolen while I'm gone.

Feels sturdy and fit well on my 2015 Crosstrek, would advise care when handling the lock when turning the key not to turn in the wrong direction almost had one key cylinder almost explode apart because the securing clip popped off the back cylinder. Thankfully I did not lose the clip or spring and was able to put it back on. The lock plates themselves when locked on the bars fit really well and I am very satisfied with no shaking of loose parts.

These mounts are very sturdy and well built. Although they weren’t technically designed for my vehicle, I was able to modify the mounting points slightly and get a very solid fit. Once installed, you can’t tell they weren’t made specifically for my car. I use them to carry a work ladder and they’ve held up perfectly. Pros: Very sturdy, heavy-duty construction, excellent load support. Cons: May require modification if used on a non-listed vehicle. Conclusion: If you’re comfortable making small adjustments, these are strong and reliable cross bars.

I just installed these on a 2015 explorer and have zero complaints. They feel super secure and sturdy and look great! Installation was pretty straightforward. The only somewhat difficult part was tightening the torx screws under the bar to set the width, but once that is set you shouldn't have to do it again. Adjusting the position just requires loosening two Allen bolts on each side and you can slide them along the rails. The fitment is excellent too! One of the biggest issues I run into with "no name" car parts like this is terrible fitment. Not the case with these bars! They hug the OEM rail profile perfectly and clamp down tight.
