This is my second time purchasing these gloves, the original ones started to wear holes in a few spots, but lasted much longer than any other gloves I've tried. When I received the new gloves the first thing I noticed is the areas that wore on my first set of gloves are now reinforced and have more leather on a new gloves, so these should even last longer than the original ones I had! Before I bought these Apis Tactical Heavy Duty Beekeeping Gloves, my relationship with bees could be summed up in one word: painful. Every time I tried to help my hive, I’d leave looking like I’d been attacked by a swarm of angry little ninjas. But then, these gloves came into my life, and everything changed. I slipped them on, and suddenly I felt like a beekeeper superhero. I’m talking full-on armor for my hands, wrists, and forearms. Bees would come at me, all buzz and fury, but bam!—my gloves blocked it like a pro goalie in a hockey game. No stings, no drama, just me and my hive, living in peaceful harmony. The gloves are heavy-duty, but still flexible enough to let me do everything I need without feeling like I’m wearing oven mitts. The leather is tough, but comfortable—like a warm hug for my hands that just so happen to keep bees from turning me into their punching bag. Conclusion: If you’re tired of getting stung by bees (or you’re tired of your friends laughing at your “bee battle scars”), these gloves will solve all your problems. I’m basically invincible now.     • These are medium gloves at best but easy to work your frames with!

These are medium gloves at some point when you work your hives you might get stung in the finger. The the trade off. these gloves are not a bulky as other leather gloves but the bees are able to push a stinger in your fingers, not as deep as having nothing at all. If you are dealing with feral bees or a hot hive you would get into trouble pretty quickly, these gloves work well with nice calm hives. This gloves are listed as "heavy duty" and Apis Tactical offered me a full refund, I refused the refund as I enjoy wearing them inspecting my hives. I just don't wear them when dealing with other peoples nasty little creatures. ... show more
