I purchased this electric throw for my 93 yo mother who has nerve pain in her legs. She is very uncomfortable during the day when she is resting. She loves the throw's softness, especially the underside, which is very soft! The control is easy to use which is very important. She uses the heat setting 1, which is heating set to the lowest setting (range 1-6), and the timer set to1 hour (goes up to at least 4 hours). The throw is very light and can easily wrap around her legs. Heats up quickly and made a great gift for her!

Love this blanket. It is certainly warm. I use it over a top flannel sheet and set at 1 for an hour. I usually turn it off in 15 minutes. I put another light cotton blanket on top of it to keep the heat in. Other complaints about the cord length are appropriate. In my case it wasn't a problem. The length of wire from the controller to the electrical plug is about 5 feet.. One other advantage: the sherpa layer minimizes the blanket coming off the bed as happens with other blankets. It doesn't drift.

I planned to return this. The first few times I used it, I felt so sick, the blanket smelled of chemicals, and sometimes the blanket felt too hot. Now? Parts of the blanket sometimes don’t feel heated and sometimes it feels set to a much lower setting even on the highest. I’ve only had this for a week or two. That said, many of the blankets I’ve looked into seem to have the same claims, but this one at least lasts 10 hours before auto shut off. I love the waffle design, I wish it would get and stay consistently warmer though. I may try to find another blanket but for now, this was the best one I could find for long term use. I need one that doesn’t shut off in only a few hours.

Fantastic blanket fabric. Both the minky type fabric and the Sherpa side were quality fabric. HOWEVER, the controls are awful. Why am I keeping it? That's because the blanket is so very nice and will be great even with the heat off. As you can see from their photo, the controls have the electricity coming in on one side and out the other. The result of this very poor choice is that the controls don't have stability to stay on your night stand. Some have said the cords are too short, but that isn't the case for my queen size set. Perhaps if they use the same controls for the king, that might be a concern. The question is: Why can't manufacturers get both the blanket and controls right? If they had standard round controls with both cords coming out of the same area, as is usual, no one would ever buy any other heated blanket but this one! It has 6 heat settings and, living in the north, I have yet to go above 3. Just to take the chill off the bed, I use 1. So don't be fooled by a large selection of temperatures. It also has a timer. I will live with these awful controls as the blanket is just that good.

I set on high to warm up the bed and turned it off when I got in bed and I was comfortable all night. I love the size and comfort of the blanket. I like the look on my bed too.

This is great! I got it for my Mom and stepdad for Christmas. They have two recliners next to each other in the living room. They keep this in the middle and can adjust their heat settings on their own side. They love it and so does our dog! It is really nice and worth the money. It keeps them warm. Thick and good quality as a regular blanket too.

This thing gets HOOOOT! In a cozy way. Very soft and feels very cozy. The remotes on them are also very basic and the cords are long, which is nice if you’re trying to hide them under your mattress. I haven’t washed it yet because I’m scared but so far 10/10.
