Description

"Heart-leaf" Philodendron is probably one of the easiest house plants to grow. Place them nearly anywhere (except direct sun) and they will thrive. Allow the soil to dry about one inch from the surface before watering. Feed monthly with a balanced plant food. If your plant becomes leggy... just cut it back to the desired size. The cuttings are easily rooted in a container of water or vermiculite. Native to: Southern Brazil Growth habit: A trailing or climbing plant. When grown unsupported usually not over 12" in height. Vines can reach over 6 foot in length.

Been wanting to redo my neglected hanging basket I have had for years with the same type of plant, we are talking over 20 years now. Just could not get enough starters growing at the same time yadayada...Could not find this plant at Lowe's or Home Depot, to my surprise. To save time thought I would just start over with some new plants. Well it snowed the night before here in Colorado, freezing conditions, thought for sure I would have mush delivered for plants. The plants were well packaged. When I removed all the plastic wrap, the soil was moist. One plant had a yellow leaf, I think it was over watered for the trip. I would rather have the soil moist than stress out the plant with bone dry dirt. Both plants looked free of pests. Kept them in indirect light for the first couple of days. Item: 2 Heart Leaf Philodendrons Seller: Hirts Garden’s Store Ordered: 06/25, Recv’d:06/30/2021, 5 days to LA, USA - FAST! Packaging: Very Well Packed Plants arrived wrapped in brown mailing paper with plastic surrounding pot to retain the soil, and plants secured at opposite sides of the box. One plant is more significantly prolific/bushier with leaves than the other, but both plants are Gorgeous, Alive, Pretty, and one has signs of new growth. These were obviously well cared for and both are healthy, without any signs of bugs nor issues. Leaves are all green and healthy. I highly recommend this item (2 Heart Leaf Philodendrons). The plants are lovely and worth it. And from all of my research, Philodendrons are a plant variety that grow fast and is very prolific. Update 08/18/2021: Still Growing, has taken me a little while to find the right Sun+Grow Light+Water+Fertilizer combination to promote the growth of these plants. These little plants are well worth the money. They're bigger than I thought they'd be, both arriving healthy and green with many leaves. They've been potted. I just hope I don't kill them.
