My wife and I have had a fan in our bedroom longer than I can remember. We have a very hard time sleeping without one. Partly because of the noise but also for the air movement. Our previous fan, had bearings going out, it was getting real noisy. Trying to find a fan locally this time of the year has been difficult. The plastic junk one we bought from lowes is just terrible. So ordered this one and so happy. Actually it's very, very similar to the one we had that was died. We do run it about 12 hours a day, every day, so you can't expect them to last forever. I do not think it is loud at all, as others have complained about, it's just right to me, just enough noise to help me sleep. No rattling or anything. Sounds like a fan. It also puts out so much air. We run it on low and that is more than enough. It is well made enough, pretty sturdy and heavy duty. Assembly was super easy, I did not even look at the directions. (I am a man). You only need to put the leg part on and that clips in. Couldn't be more simple. Very happy, the price is more than fair, would recommend. ... show more

I bought the 20" fan. This thing reminds me of fans from the 70's. The blades are all metal construction, as is the whole fan. Very nice fan cage with small slits. You can't get an ink pen between the wire slits so no worries about your kid growing up missing fingers. It is possible to disassemble the cage to clean the blades. And this baby really outputs the air too. Even on low. Because it really moves the air, it's also a bit loud. Sounds like a 1930 Stinson doing a low pass overhead. :-) But you cannot move that amount of air quietly with standard blades either. Seems to be a very good quality motor, smooth and powerful. The instructions even suggest the motor be oiled every few months. How many fan motors these days can be oiled? So if you do so, it should last many a year. Three speeds. Heavy duty, quality three prong grounding cord. A 5 star fan in my book. ... show more

Recieved fast and well packaged. VERY easy to assemble, took 5 minutes total. Comments were made about noise level, but I think its just fine. Bit more than my current plastic paddled fans but not so much that my TV volume needed to be raised. Unlike the plastic paddles, this thing does move a WHOLE LOT MORE air and seems 1000% more sturdy and solid than my old ones. Like it so much I ordered a smaller one for my bedroom. I've placed it on my tile entry floor and unlike other reviews, it hasn't "traveled" across the floor. Bit heavier than my old fans so I imagine it will last far longer too. Love that it's sturdy and doesn't require much more than blade cleaning and motor vacuuming every month. Great purchase, great price, great fan. ... show more

I like the look of the fan and it is easy to carry. I purchased the 20” model and the lowest speed feels like a high speed on other fans. It really moves air! I wish it had a bit slower speed with less noise. I am using it in a classroom setting.

Bought one when my older fan finally died. This has been a great purchase. Fantastic air mover and keeps my one bedroom apt very cool and comfortable. Yes, its a little loud but I sleep like a baby with this fans wonderful white noise. If you need a fan get this one. You will be happy that you did.

Read a lot of rerviews saying they are and they aren't noisy, I agree we have them on the patio they actually blow quite a bit of wind and yes turned them to low as they are kinda of noisy buy so worth it,
