    • Crystal clear water!
Style: W3EC50AC
The Heyward EC50 is an excellent DE filter and does a very good job of keeping my pool water crystal clear in combination with my Nature2 cartridge system.

    • Good filter
Style: W3EC50AC
The filter I ordered arrived with a broken piece ( air bleed valve was sheared off) I returned it and ordered another one, which arrived in just one day. The filter exchange was very easy and my original cost was promptly returned to my account. The filter was easy to install and performs well. The design of this filter makes it much easier than the older Hayward filter to remove the top for cleaning. Overall a quality filter that lives up to the Hayward name. ... show more

    • Works very well, pretty good value
Style: W3EC50AC
I had professionally installed. Took a little getting used to but does work well for my 20,000 gallon inground pool. A lot less expensive than traditional DE filters. Easier to backwash, requires less DE and it keeps my pool crystal clear only running 6 or 7 hours a day! (And that's with the water getting up to 93° this summer in Houston!) ... show more

    • Only worked for the first (3 month) season.
Style: W3EC50AC
This filter performed perfectly the first year. After properly maintaining it and storing it in our basement over the winter, it no longer functions properly and leaks between the base and upper portion. Not happy!

I really struggled with this purchase because I knew i needed a better filter but did not want to spend that amount of money. I had to tell myself I was spending the same amount of money on new cartridges and cleaners. Within a night the difference is apparent. It's worth the purchase, trust me! My husband got it up and running easily! ... show more

Just received this filter, air bleed valve was broken off, top cap was cracked. Broken valve was not in the box, so damage was done before shipping. I returned and will order another once return is complete, because it still looks like the best fit for my pool.

    • Powerful filter
Style: W3EC50AC
I received this filter a few weeks ago. This was purchased to replace my Hayward DE filter that died. The filter was easy to install, however the pressure gauge that was provided did not fit properly. I was able to use the gauge from the filter I was replacing. I would recommend this filter.

    • Does a good job
Style: W3EC50AC
We have used Hayward filters for over 40 years they have always done a good job but don’t use a power washer to clean the fingers cause we did last year and messed up the last one
