At less than $1 per needle cartridge at the current price on amazon, I believe these to be a great budget option for tattoo cartridges. These particular set comes with a good variety of #12 liners and magnums and there are 50 pieces so a decent amount for the money. A quick test in my machine showed that they functioned pretty well. I could not really find much to complain about with them. That said, I am not a tattooer. I am just playing around with a machine on some fake skins trying to learn some technique so take this review with a grain of salt.

We really wanted to like these, but after a few days of actual use, my husband (who is actively learning and tattooing) would rate these a 2 out of 5. The biggest issue: they clog extremely easily. Ink flow was inconsistent, which made smooth lines really difficult and frustrating. Even with adjustments, the cartridges kept interrupting the flow, and when you’re tattooing, that’s kind of a dealbreaker. They might be okay for very light practice or experimenting, but for anything requiring steady, clean lines, these just didn’t perform well. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t repurchase these and would recommend investing in a higher-quality cartridge instead.

This assortment includes a good range of liner and mag sizes, which makes it convenient for me personally. The cartridges fit my machine correctly and the membrane is a must have.. Ink flow was steady and I did not experience unusual splatter while working on practice skins. Not every needle feels identical, but that can happen with mixed packs at this price point. Overall it works well for practice and general use when you need multiple sizes available.

This has been an awesome value pack for a beginner. It comes with different needle types which I have never had a chance to use prior. For the price, it’s great value including 50 cartridges. I have been able to try out different heads and practice using these other heads to try different techniques. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for value and also looking to try out different types of needle cartridges.
