I wasn't ever going to leave a review on this rug but I feel like it deserves one. The description says stain resistant, and let me say this. I've had this rug a few months and my seven year old son has gotten sick and puked all over it, some time later he spilled a cup of hot cocoa all over it. I know, entirely my fault. We don't allow him to drink in that area but it was Christmas. Exception was made and wouldn't you know, the one time he does he trips while holding his cup. My poor little guy was so upset. About his clothes, not the rug. This thing is...... still...... SPOTLESS. With that being said, neither of these stains had any real time to sit other than the time it took me to set up the rug cleaner ( and console the cries of having his favorite clothes stained, but I fixed those too. Mom super powers. 🥰 ) I didn't pretreat, but I did have to use the hand attachment on both messes and get on my knees to scrub. Seriously you can't even tell anything ever happened to it. I am SOOOOOOO happy I purchased this rug. It is my favorite rug out of all my previous rug purchases. It is SOOO soft and the colors are PERFECT! Looks just like the picture online. I actually saw this rug in another store, but Amazon's price was better. I bought the 8 x 10 area rug and plan on buying a smaller one to match in the future. This beautiful rug elevated my family room. It has a very modern look. The rug is very light in color, so if you have kids or pets, it might not be the best choice. The gold on the rug is very subtle. It has a soft feel but not much cushion. It is actually thin, but it looks expensive.
