  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Good for pool closing use
This is great for pool closing as it is a non-metals based algaecide that will hold you over winter especially if you close your pool when water temps are above 60. If you are seeing visible algae, this isn't your solution. Your problem is your Chlorine level is too low. Learn about the relationship between Cyanuric Acid (CYA/Conditioner) and Chlorine. Most of all stop going to or listening to anything at all that your pool store tells you. They are trying to sell you magical products and chemicals that mask your issues and make your water unsafe to swim in. And never trust any of their tests which are wildly inaccurate. Go to TroubleFreePool.com and learn how to properly maintain your pool which includes proper testing and the only things you need to add will be at your local grocery store. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING! Fast shipment!
Gradually raising the chlorine level in pool after ascorbic acid stain treatment/metal out the we got a lot of rain. The pool grew algae. Using products locally helped but did not really kill all the algae. After reading instructions for using ascorbic acid, this product was recommended for use immediately after the ascorbic acid in their instructions. Bottom line, this product arrived in a day, was put in the pool the day of its arrival and now NO signs of algae and sparkling water. I will order this product again. The only product to use for algae growth in pools. ... show more

I add this to my pool in early April, about 5-6 weeks before we open the pool. The two years we used this product we had no algae. Good insurance as far as I am concerned!
