I purchased a pair of these ClassicPro bypass pruners last October as a Christmas gift for my husband. They were not used until spring. We had an issue with the thumb lock not functioning quite properly. I contacted the Haus&Garten customer support team via email on 29 APR about the problem. The customer service provided by Haus&Garten blew us away. Not only were we offered a new pair of pruners immediately, they did so in an email response in less than three hours (!) from when I sent my inquiry. Our replacement pruners have been shipped in just over 24 hours since initial contact. UPDATE 04 MAY: New pruners have arrived. My husband has used them, and he says they work beautifully. These tools are very well made; serious gardening equipment. You cannot go wrong with Haus&Garten tools, but if you ever do have an issue, the company will do what it takes to make things right. I'll be a customer for life. Their representative also recommended their PrecisionPro bypass pruner, which she said is a better fit for smaller hands (mine). We have a pair of those now as well, and I am extremely happy with them. Now I have to go cut a bunch of stuff! :) ... show more

I am over 70 years old and these are the best pruners I've ever used. They fit the hand well, return to the open position easily and maintain a good cutting edge. They handle 1/2" branches easily and bigger if you are able to muscle up a bit. These are a bit more expensive than some but certainly worth the higher cost. ... show more

I bought these pruners last year and waited to post a review. After having bought the "other name brand" pruners for years and having them fall apart in some way, I was very pleased with the performance of Haus & Garten EnduroPRO Ergonomic Bypass Pruners. They have a stronger spring and great cutting performance. Love the red handles which make it easier for me to spot them amid the lawn debris. The only negative is that the lock mechanism keeps rotating to the "closed" position. I tried to tighten it but was unable to move it even a little. I resorted to wrapping Teflon string around the base of the screw and that is working to keep it from moving to the "closed" position. ... show more
