I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this bed knowing I would likely have to set it up myself ... admittedly I was scared. But i did it! I put this thing together by myself. I'm not saying it was a piece of cake but honestly I think if I had help, it would have been worse. It took me two hours, but I was also watching tv. I did get tripped up three times. When I did the first side, I figured out pretty quickly I had a piece upside down. Once fixed, no issues until the last two steps. When attached the top piece 2 of the holes had some debris in them so I did have to clean out some leftover wood pieces. And then the very last step .. attach the legs first!! It definitely helps in knowing which way the slats go. It feels extremely sturdy and a single mattress fits perfectly under it. I do still need to get a trundle but wanted to see the frame done first. So all said.. it's not that bad!! Use the enclosed direction pictures. Have a beer by your side. And just do it. This room definitely needed something like this, as I didn't want to give up the double guest bed I already had.

Boy was this sucker a pain in the rump to assemble 😑 Some of the pre drilled holes weren't fully or correctly drilled so we had to finish them ourselves. The wood doesn't appear to be good thick solid wood, it's kind of the cheap stuff. For what I paid, I expected the quality to be a bit better. Also the planks that go across the bottom aren't very durable either. So we're going to have to hit the lumber store and get an additional sheet of wood to help make it a bit sturdier.

I was looking for something big enough for us to lay with my son and read but also allow him to have similar openness in his room for playing, etc. This looks just like the images online and is sturdy once built. Giving it 4/5 stars because the building process wasn’t easy. We had to use a power drill to create holes for the slats that support the mattress as there were no premade holes. Otherwise, we are happy so far with the purchase. Purchased the Leesa Kids Mattress which is 8in depth for reference.

I ordered 2 beds although one of the pieces in one bed was defective, the seller was easy and respectfully willing to replace the bed. It was so easy to put together with the help of my daughter and fiance we got it done in 30 minutes. I could've put it together myself but they wanted to help. Bed is very, very sturdy. The girls love the bed. It's actually bigger than I expected but perfect for my daughters.

At first, I thought the boards on the bottom were too short so Ai contacted the seller. They responded promptly and explained that the frame has to be squeezed together to screw on the boards properly. Not an easy task but I got it done. Beautiful frame and very sturdy. I love it!!

This bed seemed okay when we first assembled it. 18mos later, it is wobbly and creaky, and the wood is bowed on both the sides and the bottom. The bed is my daughter’s, and she weighs 30lbs. Occasionally my spouse or I lay with her (we’re both under 150lbs), so we are nowhere near the 460lb weight limit. The bed needs complete reinforcing, which will be a major project. When the bed arrived, most of the pieces had nicks and chips, and the layer of paint was so thin in some places, you can see the pine color rather than white.

This is a great buy! It took me and my daughter a few hours to put together. Some of the institutions are hard to understand. I still gave it high marks for putting together because neither of us are great with building things. Once we got it together and the mattress on it is very sturdy and does not move or creek at all when you move. It looks very nice and I high quality!

Showed up just days after ordering. Super easy to assemble only took 1/2 hr. the two side boards are super flimsy and fit in place losley, kind of a waste of Matireal. We ordered the full size, it's not super sturdy but won't be used on a daily basis. We made more legs to attach to the slats as they only make 4 per bed, the full size needs 8-10 of them because of how big the bed is and how flimsy slats are. Over all its a nice bed for the price. I will say the lack of sturdiness is do to the thin beds slats. Company use solid pine slats with a single long wood rail with 6 support posts on it to attach under slats in middle of bed that runs head to foot, this will make bed sturdy and hold extra150lbs in weight when/ if needed.
