    • Fun magnets
Style: Make-a-Face
Review Image by Cailey’s Mom
The box the magnets came in is very pretty and I appreciate that there are many ways to play. However the magnets felt cheaply made. My toddler was able to pull apart a piece (see photo) the first time she played with it.

Great size for travel. Our 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed it.

    • Beautiful product but has flaws
Style: Woodland Ballet
Graphics are beautiful and I like that it's in a tin which can be easily cleaned up. The pieces are magnets so they do stick to the tin but not on each other so you have to play with it laying flat. Ex. the clothes won't really be on the animals because the animals are also magnets and not metal. My LO has also played with it less than 5x and the fox head is almost coming off since there's only a thin connection between the head and the body. ... show more

    • Great item
Style: Woodland Ballet
I’ve purchased this at least 4 times for presents and it’s always a fun one. It’s a nice upgrade to paper dolls and so easy to throw in the bag for trips, restaurants, church, etc.

    • Perfect for my toddler!
Style: Hungry Caterpillar
I purchased this as a toy for my toddler to play with on the plane. It worked perfectly! There are 4 different background and tons of magnets with animals/bugs/fruit from Eric Carle books. It’s a great size magnetic box and it holds my toddler’s attention for a long time. He loves it!

    • Annoyed that I received one that is used/played with
Style: Hungry Caterpillar
Besides receiving it already opened and played with, it’s not worth $16. The one I got is not gift-able as all the pieces were already stacked in a Ziplock bag. Annoyed!! The background sheets are flimsy paper and the magnets pieces are much smaller then the pictures depict. Not super pleased with this product. It’s cute that’s about it. ... show more

    • Cute, but fussy
Style: Hungry Caterpillar
The product is as represented, but fits so tightly in the tin that it’s difficult to remove. I can’t imagine a 3- or 4-year-old being about to manage it. I also discovered a very sharp corner while trying to pry it out, so look it over closely before you give it to a child.

This is such a cute concept!! We love Eric Carle and all the illustrations evoke some real nostalgia for me as his books were some of my favorites throughout my childhood! The cookies are vibrant and beautiful, just like the books!! I have to be honest I didn’t read the full description and I really thought that the scenes would also be magnetic too! I understand that the magnets hold the scenes in place so it’s not totally necessary but I would have liked it if they were magnetic as well! The magnets come on a sheet that you pop them out of; I popped them all out and then cut a thin border using the remaining piece that held all the magnets. The result wasn’t quite uniform (although it did the trick), so it would be good if the manufacturers did a perforated border that could serve this purpose if they aren’t going to make the scenes magnetic. The scenes and magnets are pretty thin so it would make me nervous to leave my 2 year old alone with this for fear that she would tear them apart (I know it says 3+ right on it, but that’s just something I felt others might like to know). I like that the case itself can be used as a platform for the scenes and magnets. I have an almost 4 year old and a just-turned-2 year old and it’d be so neat if the manufacturers made it so that the tin that it comes in wasn’t hinges, but instead could pull apart to be two separate platforms for the scenes so that each kid could use it on the go! On another note, because these magnets are thin they are great for the fridge because I’m not worried about them leaving scratches on my stainless steel! **I included pictures of all the magnets that came with the set** ... show more
