This is a really great cold brew teapot. It is made of glass so I was worried about how fragile it would be, but it has held up to constant use with not even a chip. The teapot brews about 4 glasses of tea per use and is much cheaper than buying cold brew straight from the store. It takes up very little space in the fridge. What I like most about cold brew teapot is that it is perfect for loose leaf tea and so easy to clean. It's tall and I only have one place in my 17 year old fridge that had adequate space for it. Not a game changer, though. I'd buy it again.

Was super gentle with it but it still broke just from putting the lid on. The lid is too tight for this thin of glass. Wish these were made with a lot more quality. It lasted 33 days from first use. I used it 4 times total.

    • Great for cold brew coffee, once you find the right ratio

I use this exclusively for cold brew coffee and I absolutely love it. I’ve had one for almost 3 years and just bought a second one so we could brew cold coffee batches longer and in rotation. It is supremely easy to use and easy to clean. It took a while to find the right balance of coffee to water but once I found my preference, haven’t looked back. (I prefer my cold brew from home to blue bottle or joe.) I recommend starting too strong and working back from there to find the point where it’s too weak. My pref is to grind enough to loosely fill the basket just below where the mesh ends. I probably brew with too much coffee but unless you’re making a giant bucket of cold brew, that’s inevitable. When I first got it, I was worried it’d be too fragile because it’s glass, and thin glass at that, but it’s held up fine. ... show more

    • Great product with a Surprise Feature You Need

Excellent quality product that makes a good amount of cold brew coffee. This is supposed to be for cold brew tea but works great for coffee as well. The instructions are in Japanese but the pictures are pretty much all you need to figure out how to make cold brew coffee. I made sure I ground the coffee course, filled the coffee holder/filter to about 3/4 full, filled half-way with water, placed the coffee holder/filter into the carafe and poured water over the coffee until the coffee grounds were immersed. I then let the carafe sit on the kitchen counter for a few hours. About once an hour I partially lifted out the coffee holder/filter to let the water drain out then reimmersed the coffee grounds. Before I went to bed I placed the carafe with the coffee grounds into the refrigerator over night. The next morning I pulled the coffee holder/filter and placed in the sink to drain. After the grounds had drained for about 5 minutes I threw them in the trash because coffee grounds can be very hard on garbage disposals. One of the great features I haven't seen in previous reviews of this product is that the bottom of the coffee holder/filter comes off with a quarter twist making it very easy to dispose of coffee grounds or tea leaves preventing residual grounds or leaves staying in the holder and possibly damaging the holder. ... show more

Pros: Perfect size pitcher Fits perfectly in my fridge...not too big Tea leaf basket easy to clean Easy to pour Nice design Very durable CONS: I really have no cons...maybe to make it in different colors. LOL. Otherwise I love this product. I own the picture to make cold brew coffee as well. It’s well made & very sturdy. I was pleased when I found that Hario makes one for tea also. I bought a different brand before I found that Hario makes this and I was unhappy with it. So I ended up buying this one. Let’s just say...my others pitcher is collecting dust on my shelf now. The mesh to hold the tea leaves is very durable. We had our coffee one for years without any signs of deterioration. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a tea pitcher. I believe you would use this for cold bee coffee also, the only difference is the mesh for coffee one has a solid bottom on the basket versus the tea one is also mesh. ... show more

    • Why I did not buy this sooner??

I love Japanese bottled tea. Due to COVID-19, my online Japanese grocery store suspended to take orders. Unfortunately, US bottled green teas are not flavorful at all. So I decided to make my own cold-brew green tea. This product is a life saver. It is easy to use, and so easy to clean - the bottom of the basket comes off. I use the used green tea leaves in the fridge to take out any smells and then throw them to the compost! I also make barley tea - a must-have for the summer. As for the green tea, I am still trying to determine the amount of green tea leaves to use for my taste. Highly recommended! ... show more
