I would buy the Hard Tri Cover again. I have had it for 10+ months. Fits the Maverick great. Does it let in a minimal amount water with a hard rain? Sure, but not enough that I worry about my cargo. I could seal it up better (the maverick has a few little openings where plastic pieces join - so its hard to blame the cover) and solve that, but its not a big enough problem. I don't live in a climate where it rains every day. I am worried that the plastic handles will break someday, but so far they have been tough. There were some random extra parts that i keep in the garage if something breaks. I haven't seen an appreciable positive or negative impact on mileage on my AWD Hybrid. There are so many other variables that impact mpg - like like air conditioner usage during the summer. It is going to keep out casual thieves, but if some one jumped on it, they would probably be in and out pretty quick, but out of sight out of mind. The LED light is a nice touch. I wish it folded up against the back window to maximize space (only two of the three sections fold open) but it is easy enough to take off that when I know I need to fill the back - i just pop it off. I strapped some surboards to the top of it for a trip to Cali, held up fine.

I admit I was skeptical about this cover at first, but now that it has been installed I am totally pleased. It is no lightweight cover being solid aluminum and should last a very long while. Like all things China, the documentation could be better, but installation went fairly smoothly in less than a half hour. Just know that the cover comes with the attaching hardware already installed on the cover, and the bag of plastic and other parts that it comes with aren't for the initial installation, but are actually spare parts if needed in the future. What a great surprise. As I said, it looks great and I am very happy with the purchase and the very reasonable price for such a solid and secure cover.

Pros: 1- arrived in good condition, no damage/dents/scratches, 2-All black, metal construction, with foam seals at edges 3-LED lights included 4-Easy to install, NO DRILLING required Cons: 1- poor instructions. You get a one page, double sided instruction sheet, BUT certain fundamental instructions are omitted 2- To save you some time: it's 3 panels. The panel with LED should go toward rear of truck. There are 2 hinges with the middle panel and 2 hinges with the panel towards the front of truck. To install, unscrew to open up the hinge/clamp, attach to the side of your truck bed, then screw again to tighten the hinge clamp in place. That's it. 3- The confusing thing is they provide an EXTRA PAIR of HINGE CLAMPS. We spent at least 40 minutes trying to figure out where it went, only to realize later, that it's an extra, and not needed for installation 4- Why extra hinge clamp? Because the hinge clamp is made of PLASTIC. Seriously, they make you pay 50% extra for all aluminum panel covers, then cannot bear to spend $10 extra to provide all metal hinge clamps ?????? 5- A foam seal tape is provided, but we installed without, and there was no issue with the bed cover not attaching securely. I have not driven in rain/snow/sleet yet, so not sure if this will make a difference 6- The design allows you to open up 2 panels, but the 3rd panel towards the front cannot be flipped up. You either remove the entire bed cover (not hard) or you just have 2/3 of the cover that can be open. I deducted 1 star for the poor instructions/NO VIDEO to show how to install, and deducted another star for plastic hinge clamp. It should be all metal construction. The price was reasonable, but if I couId do again, I would opt for both metal cover bed AND clamp was metal construction and design allowed all three panels to stay attached to truck bed, but all 3 panels can be flipped open.

Installation was fairly easy, especially once I could get past the instructions in somewhat broken English (the illustrations and an on-line video helped). Once I got it on my 2025 Maverick (that took about 50 mins, including trying to decipher parts of the instructions) I was impressed with how easy it was to open and close and to removed if needed. Seems strong, we'll see for sure after one winter. I felt that overall it was a good value..
