  • The thermal camera I’ve always wanted!
Style: THOR 002
I’ve wanted a thermal camera since I was a kid, and the fact that I finally own one still doesn’t feel real. The Thor002 is so much better than I expected that it has completely scrambled my sense of what “consumer tech” is capable of. I am pointing this thing at everything. Walls. Floors. Water. Pipes. Electronics. Random objects that I have walked past for years without realizing they were warm. You start seeing heat everywhere. Subtle gradients. Tiny variations. Stuff your brain was never meant to notice. It honestly feels like unlocking a new sense. It runs at 60Hz, and whatever dark magic Thermal Master is doing with upscaling works absurdly well. The image looks closer to a 640x480 thermal feed than it has any right to. The detail is insane. You can see heat trails from footsteps. You can spot electrical losses you never knew existed. I knew thermal cameras were cool. I did not know they were this cool. I showed it to a friend and they immediately bought one. No convincing required. If you want a thermal camera that actually does serious thermal camera stuff, just buy this one. Don’t overthink it. The price is amazing for what it can do. The Thor002 is one of the coolest pieces of technology I’ve ever owned, full stop. ... show more

  • Excellent thermal camera – a must-have tool for HVAC work!
Style: THOR 002
I use this thermal camera regularly for HVAC and refrigeration diagnostics, and it has been an outstanding tool. The 512 resolution gives a very clear and detailed thermal image, making it easy to spot refrigerant leaks, overheating components, electrical hot spots, and insulation issues quickly. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and the display is sharp and responsive. Setup was simple right out of the box. Compared to other thermal cameras I’ve looked at in this range, the image quality is impressive. If you’re a technician or contractor looking for a reliable thermal imaging tool, this is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Absolutely incredible!
Style: THOR 002
The media could not be loaded. Seriously this thing is unbelievable I had High Hopes but was worried because of some of the reviews on here but I can tell you now after getting it and just spending a very limited amount of time with it it is very intuitive and very easy to use the laser does work you just have to hold down the light button for a couple of seconds turn on the laser and do the same thing to turn off the laser a few years ago I was going to buy one cuz I thought it would be cool to look in the woods or into the fields in the dark and see animals the one I chose that would do that was between was $13,000 this unit does exactly the same thing and I doubt that the more expensive one was much better. I am absolutely Blown Away with the capabilities of this unit. I am going to post a bunch of pictures and photos and I probably will end up doing a video about this unit normally I would not mess with it but it's important to let people know how awesome this thing is if you're not having good success or your screen is flickering or something like that obviously something's wrong with your unit mine is working perfect in video and picture movement is smooth and the detail is magnificent enjoy these photos and videos I will get some more put together soon. ... show more

Debated for months and compared against other units in the same spec and price range. Ended up keeping this one because it does everything fairly well for a decent price.

  • Good camera
Style: THOR 002
We use this thermal camera for locating water damaged material and I can honestly say I am impressed so far. We already have 4 flir cameras which are older and I paid around $1,000 for each one. This camera has a much larger screen and has more detail and for $399 it is a bargain. Having a laser pointer is a nice touch. Great camera at a great price. ... show more

  • Failed after three months Edited my review.
Style: THOR 002
This is a very nice operating thermal camera until it no longer functions. Mine is three months old and has stopped turning on. Thermal master support does not answer their phone and in fact, I think they have blocked my calls because it immediately hangs up as soon as it dials and they are not answering my email request you would think that it would have at least a one year warranty and apparently it has nothing for a warranty. So it’s a $359 risk you take if you decide to buy one. I would not buy one again. Add on to my review on 2/6. Since the users manual has no trouble shooting section. I experimented around with the camera, knowing that most tech today has certain procedures that can help I discovered that if you hold the power and play buttons at the same time for 10 seconds it forced the camera to reboot… it’s now working again. Also I can say that Thermal master finally started answering my emails, though they weren’t any help they seemed willing to replace the camera under the 2 year warranty. Fortunately I don’t need that now. Seems they had no idea that the reboot procedure I discovered even existed. Hope this helps anyone that has this problem in the future. ... show more

  • Questionable image clarity
Style: THOR 002
Mixed first impressions. The unit turns on quickly and the refresh rate is smooth, which is nice. Unfortunately the image clarity hasn’t lived up to the advertised resolution. There’s a noticeable haze over the image that keeps details from looking as crisp as they should. Another downside is the internal battery. It isn’t swappable, so if you forget to charge it before heading out, you’re out of luck. The included case is a nice touch and seems well made. I’ll keep testing it and update the review if my impressions change with more use. ... show more
