We use this thermal camera for locating water damaged material and I can honestly say I am impressed so far. We already have 4 flir cameras which are older and I paid around $1,000 for each one. The media could not be loaded. Seriously this thing is unbelievable I had High Hopes but was worried because of some of the reviews on here but I can tell you now after getting it and just spending a very limited amount of time with it it is very intuitive and very easy to use the laser does work you just have to hold down the light button for a couple of seconds turn on the laser and do the same thing to turn off the laser a few years ago I was going to buy one cuz I thought it would be cool to look in the woods or into the fields in the dark and see animals the one I chose that would do that was between was $13,000 this unit does exactly the same thing and I doubt that the more expensive one was much better. I am absolutely Blown Away with the capabilities of this unit. I am going to post a bunch of pictures and photos and I probably will end up doing a video about this unit normally I would not mess with it but it's important to let people know how awesome this thing is if you're not having good success or your screen is flickering or something like that obviously something's wrong with your unit mine is working perfect in video and picture movement is smooth and the detail is magnificent enjoy these photos and videos I will get some more put together soon.

I am not a home inspector. I was able to accompany the home inspector as he inspected my house before I bought it. Very knowledgeable guy; very educational experience. But that was over 10 years ago. I purchased the THOR002 in hopes of learning more things about my house. And I have learned more. For instance, the THOR002 clearly showed one section of a wall that appears to either have no insulation between the studs, or the insulation was installed improperly rendering it ineffective. I recommend anyone considering purchasing the THOR002 (or any other model or brand) to review some YouTube thermography training videos for home inspectors to learn what thermal cameras can and cannot do, as well as to learn to interpret what the camera shows. I am quite happy with my purchase of the THOR002 and recommend it. I like that it has a large display screen and doesn't require the use of a cellphone to operate.

This thing is awesome. Very high quality, easy to use and no frills. About 1/5 the price of the comparable snap on. I didn’t want to spend $2000.00 on the snap on because it’s something I don’t use that often. At the time I bought this I paid about $400.00

There is nothing worse than having to break through a wall when you're trying to find a leaky pipe or fix an issue. I’ve used Stud Finders, WallaBees, and other tools to look inside walls. When I started reading about FLIR cameras, I realized it was time to get one. I don’t use it often, but I have to say it’s my top choice for locating wires, pipes, and studs. Anything that shows a temperature difference can be detected. It’s not perfect, but with the right conditions, it’s saved me from repair work. It’s a bit expensive, but I’m very glad I have it in my toolbox.

11/10/25 - Updated to 1 star - Never heard back from the company, software is unusable offline. Camera seems to work well and be responsive. My issue is the PC software for offline analysis does not work. Importing a video or image taken by the camera does nothing in the software. Clicking on "user manual" in the software also does nothing. The software from the website is also packaged as a .exe, which any modern OS with antivirus will flag and delete instantly. I was hoping to post process some thermal videos but am unable to at this time. I've reached out to Thermal Master regarding this and will update my review based on their response.

Best thermal imaging gun out there! The available temperature functions, multiple points of scanning to determine deltas, IR and more is phenomenal. Also great for pulling the final report together with the desktop app. A lot of great features when putting together professional thermal imaging reports!
