This a great product for what I need. I've been looking for an inexpensive and easy to use handheld sewing machine and this portable sewing machine is perfect for sewing clothes and rug. I use it to sew the ends of my rag rug strips when I am traveling. A little hard to thread for me. A needle threader is a must, but It is great! You need to know that is a "chain" stitch. So it will unravel if you don't tie a knot in the the end of your stitch row or handle it carefully. I would buy it again! ... show more

    • Great portable sewing for light tasks.
This was a really great buy! This thing proved to be much handier than a shirt pocket. First trip out of the box, it worked like a charm. So did the second, third and fourth. I'm an outdoorsman and needed to do some repair on some of my gear. I am always mending and hemming something and I think this just saved me a few hundred hours of hand stitching. It made it a whole lot easier to do this outside, and the stitches were strong and I know this will last and make future jobs easier. It only does one kind of stitch at one speed and does not knot off the ends but the instructions are perfectly clear and it does everything it promises. I even fixed a shirt pocket on an old work shirt myself. I haven't operated a sewing machine hmm since middle school (I'm 28 now) and I had no issues using this. I am surprised how well this little guy works! I'm not a great sewer but this works great, it's NOT for making cloths or curtains it's used as it states, QUICK FIX. it does a very good job considering what they've engineered. I'm impressed. Threading is tedious but use the needle threader it comes with & problem solved. Got this for hemming jeans and quick fixes around the house and haven't had any problems. If you're not familiar with sewing machines get on YouTube. This little machine is great. I love it! ... show more

For anyone who needs a 'quick fix' or a small sewing job done, this is great. Good for older people like me who hate to have to lug a portable machine out to do a quick job; or for my gals in college who have a space problem. Since getting mine and showing it to my friends and relatives they have also ordered it! My granddaughter was able to sew up her duvet while still on the bed in just a few minutes. I love this mini sewing machine. I travel the US in an RV and I don't have a lot of room for stuff. I found I could really use a sewing machine but I have no room for one. I went on Amazon and found this nifty handheld sewing machine. There are a few really nice YouTube videos showing you how to do everything that is available. Easier than the manual that came with this product. Very easy to use and comes with extra thread, various colors I believe the basics, white, black, blue. Very well made. I've already used it on everything I needed it for. Small but strong and easy to store. This will be perfect for mending when I travel. So worth the money. I Love mine! ... show more

At first I was skeptical, so I worked carefully. I made two pillowcases using straight seams and some overstitching by the machine! This machine easily sewed through 4 layers of regular weight cotton fabric that I bought at a quilting shop. It took only a few practice inches of stitching to figure out what worked best for me. I followed instructions for ending seams and knotting. The machine’s feeding mechanism worked perfectly without any extra pulling or pushing. I positioned the fabric and my hands comfortably, sometimes switching hands to feed the fabric. In some situations, I had to do hand stitching due to limitations in width of fabric that could be sewn (e. g. a 3 inch pillowcase hem). Admittedly, I have over 40 years of sewing experience and with other stitchery projects; maybe that helps. I’m keeping this machine and look forward to future projects using it. ... show more
