I make 4 large loaves of 100% bread at a time and have burnt out two highly respected large mixers over the years as well as one hand beater I used by default for just the beginning stages of mixing dough. The first big mixer lasted for a long time, handling well uses it's manufacturer said it could. It was a work horse, but nothing lasts forever. The second one was much shorter lived, and I learned that newer models just aren't as sturdy as the older ones. So I didn't want to invest in another expensive machine that isn't built to last anyway. I bought this beater recently because it claimed to have a turbo feature with its motor, offered bread hooks and other attachments and was WAY less expensive than the big mixers. I thought if I burned this one out I could replace it 8 times before I caught up with the higher costs for the big ones. Besides I didn't want to haul out a monster machine for small mixing needs. The first time I used this beater I knew I'd found a solution. The dough was amazingly smooth and elastic. The engine didn't labor at all. I only had to knead in a little flour at the end rather than many cups needed, of course, with the hand beater. The turbo feature engaged more power, and the mixer easily handled the dough. It also has a measuring cup/clear plastic base to store attachments in and can be stored on a cabinet shelf instead of taking up limited counter space. It's a winner.

Very powerful hand mixer!! Great product!!!

This hand mixer has been great for my baking. I love that the beaters, dough hooks, and whisk all store right in the base—no more digging through drawers for the right attachment. The speed dial is easy to adjust, and the turbo button gives a nice boost when I need it. The eject button works smoothly, and everything feels solid. It’s powerful enough for cookie dough and whips cream fast. A tidy, dependable mixer that gets the job done without taking up much space.

Don't waste your money

Started out great. It HAD a lot of power, purchased it in 9/24 and it just burned up today 8/26. I was making a cake & had it on low - it sounded like it was struggling to mix, so I turned it up one more speed and I could smelling it burning up. Seconds later there was smoke. Clearly this is what I get for not purchasing a high quality brand product.

Nice product for the money. Eject button is very tight. May loosen with use. I kept it but if you aren’t strong probably not the body blender for you. I liked the design with the storage so you keep everything together.

I’ve had hand mixers before. Big clunky things with attachments we had to store carefully so we’d know where they were when we wanted to mix something again. Here’s the good part: it all stores in a clear base so it’s easy to put away. Can’t tell you how much I love that. It’s fairly light weight. Sits well in my hand and my hands aren’t large. The only possible down side is it doesn’t whip slowly. It fires right up and goes at a brisk pace, even at the lowest settings. Not a big deal, but felt worth mentioning that you might want to use a deeper bowl than you initially think is necessary.

I ordered two of these hand mixers, one for my daughter and one for myself. Mine replaces a 25-year old Kitchenaid hand-held that was slowly dying, so this new burst of power is beyond amazing! (I did not see anything like my old one offered by Kitchenaid now). I love the turbo feature—just a touch while in any other mode and you get an extra pulse-boost when dough gets heavy and/or bogged down. Though the booklet shows 2 “balloon” beaters in several places (cover & inside parts list), the product description only lists 1 “whisk” instead, which is what you get. The whisk is the same size as the beaters (not longer or larger as photos might imply), and I find it slightly weird to have only one beater inserted. Thus, I saved both of the “whisk” beaters from my old hand-held mixer to use for this purpose—they fit perfectly—and gave my new single whisk to my daughter, so now she has two as well. I’m not as thrilled with the square-ish beaters, and wish they were more curved like a modern mixer’s, but, they do the job with only a few seconds extra to clean them once they’ve soaked a bit. I have not yet tried the dough beaters, but assume they work as described by others. The actual unit feels a little heavier than my old one, but it wasn’t difficult to adapt to this one—especially since the trade-off is super power! The storage design is nice, too—everything is in one place, finally.

This mixer has plenty of power. It seems a bit more quiet than the last few I've owned. The beaters eject pretty well, not completely every time but pretty well. The cord is a good length. However, the switch is, was, inconvenient in size and shape. It is, was, flush with the top casing meaning entirely flat. There was a slot for a fingernail but that requires two hands. The switch got progressively harder to use until the slider broke. It can still be turned up and down and off and on but a sharp point is required and even then it is difficult not something I want to do with it running and throwing bits of batter everywhere. So it has to be set to speed, then plugged in for go and unplugged for stop.
