The release button is very difficult to use. I find if I lower the mixer so I am pressing straight down, it works fine. I lower mine a bit into the sink so it is lower than my a pressure is straight down.

I absolutely LOVE this hand mixer! I bought this to replace the hand mixer that my grandmother gifted me over 20 years ago when it unexpectedly broke. I was so apprehensive over choosing a new hand mixer and I'm really glad I chose this one. The only complaint that I have is that the bottom case piece for the attachment parts doesn't attach to the hand piece in any way but it wouldn't stop me from buying it again. It is sturdy, fairly quiet, and is even compatible with the attachment pieces from my old mixer despite being a different brand. This hand mixer is great and I'd recommended it to anyone that needs an affordable hand mixer for their kitchen. As an added bonus, the color is pretty too :) ... show more
