This handheld spreader has completely changed the way I maintain my lawn. The machine body is light but solidly constructed, and the large capacity of 3.3 liters means that there is basically no need to add materials frequently when fertilizing or spreading seeds over a large area. The adjustment knob has 8 gears, whether it is fine grass seeds or de-icing salt, it is spread very evenly, without the problem of clogging or splashing too far. It can directly use Makita 18V batteries, which is very convenient. You can start working immediately after installing it, eliminating the complicated settings. The grip is ergonomic and you won’t feel tired when holding it for a long time; the spreading width can be adjusted, and the material landing point can be accurately controlled. It is very smooth even when used on a sloping ground or the edge of a flower bed. From sowing in spring to spreading salt in winter, this machine has now become almost my "main player" in gardening. It spreads steadily and efficiently, and it is not so tiring to do things.

Excellent spreader. Multiple settings for distance and amount. Battery lasts a long time and saves on cranking over large areas. It's well-made of heavy plastic and seems more robust than the crank style ones. I was able to seed an entire feed plot in a matter of minutes. It comes with a battery and charger (and battery was 90% charged out of the box). No assembly just plug in and go. Good value for the money and highly recommended.

There's only one thing I don't like about it, but I'll get to that later. Otherwise, it's got all the controls you'll ever need in a grass spreader: it's got spreading width control, spreader wheel speed control (how far the seed goes), volume control (how MUCH grass seed), and, well I think that's it. Oh, and it came with a battery! So, even if you don't have any Makita batteries laying around, you're still covered and ready to go out the box! The one thing I don't like about it is the balance. It's a little back heavy. Especially with seed in it. The battery is in the back, which weighs it down, and most of the seed stays in the back part of the bucket, so THAT weighs it down even further on that end. I think that if either the weight of the battery or the seed was dispersed up front instead of them both being in the back, it would be the perfect seed spreader.

worked great for small jobs around the house to spread seed. Like my wifes wild flower garden we seed all the time. I would recommend since it is easy to use and does an excellent job at spreading seed around. Battery lasted long enough to to finish and few areas over 5000 sqf. so all in all I would recommend to anyone wanting to seed small areas that your push or two behiond can't get into,

I use this to spread fertilizer granules in our flower garden and in the yard. The hopper is large enough to hold about 5 pounds of granule fertilizer (a little less than a gallon. It has several settings that allow you to spread more or less depending on your needs. It is balanced so that even when full, it is not straining your hand or arm. It came with its own battery and charger adapter. I also plan on trying to spread grass seed with it and from what I can tell so far I do not expect to see any problems with that. I am very happy with it so far, it is much better than spreading by hand with a 5 gallon bucket or trying to push a rolling spreader over rough terrain.

This handheld spreader from Metry Grow is pretty nice, it has a 3.3L large capacity hopper and can cover more efficiently than the manual spreaders. It has 6 speeds settings and 8 level output, meaning the hopper will open to 8 different dimensions, which is nice because you can also put small ground salt and spread on ice in the winter months too. My boy has one of these, and I liked his, so I seen this and grabbed it, they really are nice. This one is compatible with Milwaukee 18V and DeWalt 20V/60V batteries according to the seller. You can go cordless years round for seeding, fertilizing or ice melting. And if you have any type of problems you can reach out to customer support and they will respond within 10 hours.
