  • Poorly Made - Keep Shopping - Don't stop here!
One of the few units that will do Espresso and Coffee pods. 1st machine came christmas day and had a piece in the espresso part that I think may have been reversed when assembled but the espresso part didn't work. NIce present for my daughter christmas morning huh! :( So we returned it and got another. This unit was definately different in the assembly on the espresso side. All worked ok until the pod side started to leak on the espresso side. Now a 10oz selection produces about 8 oz in the coffee cup side and the other 2 ounces drips over on the espresso side. This unit is a mess! It's expensive so I feel I need to share. I would have returned it but I was 1 day late to do that on amazon - only a 2 week window, FYI. Guess I will call the manufacturer and see if I can get a 3rd. Keep shopping, don't stop here! ... show more

  • Meets expectations - great value
I read some past reviews shortly after purchase and was a bit concerned. Things like not working when first received, loud, seems cheap we’re also my initial impression. However, after after some time, it just boiled down to user understanding. This is a great unit for the price. It is a bit loud in comparison to a kurig but it’s mostly likely a larger pump to provide the frothiness like expected and tolerable. Most larger machines sound like this also. I don’t understand why people claim it takes a long time to heat. This is not true. It takes no longer than the kurig. One tip is not to let the container run out of water. Same issue when it comes from new…it takes a few cycles to prime the lines. Just place a coffee mug to receive the water but do not place a kcup or nesspresso so not to waste a pod…until it’s water line is primed. Had this unit for over a month now and completely meets expectation, good unit and good value for decent home brew with nesspresso option. ... show more

  • This Is The Worst Product I Have Ever Purchased...Ever...
I have been having issues with this coffee maker since the day it arrived. When I opened the box, a piece was dislodged and I had to repair it myself. Once I got that fixed, there was a loud click and the "14oz" & "Bold" lights started flashing. I looked up some solutions online because the troubleshooting tips provided by Hamilton Beach were not helpful. I found some solutions online and it worked consistently for just a few months before nothing would work to fix it. MOST IMPORTANTLY - I reached out to Hamilton Beach to see if they could replace this one for me with a better working one. I was hoping they would provide at least a 1-year warranty on it. After telling me that they couldn't do anything without a purchase receipt, I provided one from Amazon and they said that they WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY if it is purchased from a third-party like Amazon. They only offered a 15% off coupon from their website, which is available to anyone. I will never buy anything from the company ever again. They know they are selling a defective product, not honoring the warranty, and still continue to sell it even though it is literally one of the lowest-rated coffee machines available. ... show more

  • KCup Side Stopped Working After 3 Days
The Kcup side stopped working, but the Nespresso side still functions fine. The pump/motor goes but no water is put through, tank level doesn't go down. Contacted Hamilton Beach for help, but no advice or fix, just an exchange but they don't have this model anymore.

  • All the features I wanted, some glaring design misses
Ability to brew K-Cups, Nespresso pods and ground coffee is, to me, the perfect combo. Allows me to replace a (giant) Ninja coffee maker and separate Nespresso machine with this handsome, all-in-one, compact unit. It fits very well under the kitchen cabinets with room to open the pod hatch... which the Ninja didn't. You can choose larger, 14oz brew size which is great for travel mugs. However, this is where the 1st major design issue comes into play. A 14oz coffee with typical 2oz of cream takes a 16oz mug. Unfortunately, any of the massively popular insulated travel mugs (Yeti, Hydroflask, Stanley, etc) won't fit under the brew spout. Depending on what you have, it's possible to sort of 'wedge' a mug under, but that is something that could have very easily been avoided with the slightest bit of 'field testing'. Like many single-serve makers, there are removable platforms on each side for minimizing pour distance. The one on the k-cup side does double-duty and also houses the ground coffee container pod. Thumbs up for keeping my kitchen cabinet clutter to a minimum! Unfortunately, this is also a place for another demerit as the thin aluminum drip grates on top of the platforms rattle incessantly while the unit is brewing. Easy enough to address with some tape, but requiring out-of-the-box 'fixes' isn't great. One of impressive things about the unit is that it houses a 19-bar pump for the Nespresso pods. If you've ever owned a compatible brewer, you know that the high pressure pumps are pretty loud. This is no different, obviously. But the Flexbrew uses the same noisy pump for regular k-cup (or ground) brews as well. So if you're the first one up in your home be aware that your morning java is going to be loud no matter what option you choose. The pump is also what contributes to the rattling platform grates. The unnecessarily short coffee platform is a definite drawback for me but overall, I like the Flexbrew Trio because it does what virtually no other unit does, and it does it pretty well. ... show more

  • Piece of Junk
Multiple problems with this unit once you open the box; ultimately after struggling several hours, you will have no choice but to return it. 1. The pump does not prime until you go thru multiple attempts and thus no water comes out of Kpod or Esspresso side 2. Once the pump primes, more than half of it leaks out creating a horrible mess and you get extremely strong coffee with any setting due to half of water flowing thru the machine and half leaking out 3. cleaned all clogs, made sure the water tank sits firm, yet cant figure out why water leaks so bad. 4. Was never successful with Espresso, used the regular pod that goes right in but somehow only few drops of coffee comes out of the Esspresso. So frustrated and finally cleaned up the unit and will be returning.. ... show more
