I needed a new coffee pot for the work office. Small office with five employees, but we all drink two to three cups a day. We also had a K-Cup machine for those afternoon cups. I was able to throw away my normal coffee maker and the K-Cup machine which was great. Setup is easy, but changing the time and programming was slightly confusing, but once you figure it out, super easy. Just wait a second for the hour to stop blinking and it moves to the minutes. Same for programming the auto brew for the morning. Coffee tastes great, and the warmer keeps the coffee really hot. Much hotter than a Mr. Coffee brand maker that we got rid of. My one and only complaint is the brew time. The 12-cup maker part makes coffee as excepted, but slower than the Mr. Coffee to brew the same 12 cups. The K-Cup part is the disappointment. The brewing part can house a standard mug or a travel mug. What the instructions don't tell you is no matter how much water you put in the tank for the K-Cup, that is what is coming out. My first cup overflowed and made a mess. As you can imagine, I filled the tank up to full and pressed brew, and then waited, and I mean waited. It takes a solid three to four minutes to start brewing the K-Cup side. Normal K-Cup brewers brew in seconds to a minute at most. Even to heat the water up. However, this coffee maker takes forever. I was able to go to the bathroom, wash a few mugs, and straighten up the kitchen all before the thing made a noise that it was heating up the water. I am really perplexed that the K-Cup part takes so long to brew and that is supposed to be the faster and more convenient option. Baffles me. ... show more

After using it for about two months, I'm pleased with this coffee maker. There are some things to note, as it could be better. The carafe's lid is attached, causing two issues. When you set the carafe in the sink to fill it, the lid can easily close, causing water to splash everywhere. The lid also swings open just enough to allow hot steam to escape when pouring the last coffee out of the pot. As you might place your thumb there to prevent the lid from opening, you will notice, as have I on several occasions, that the steam is quite hot. I use the single brew side less. It is easier to rinse the needle after every use to prevent clogging, though it is a waste of water. As others noted, it seems loud, with the bold feature and single cup being the loudest. Even the regular mode usually wakes me up. The bold mode is very slow and unnecessary The coffee is great. I rinsed the coffee maker and pot, then ran one pot of hot water through before brewing coffee, as some mentioned odd tastes. It has been fine. Would I buy it again? Definitely! It is a great coffee maker so far. Check back with me in 15 years, as that is how long my previous Cuisinart made it before springing a leak. ... show more

I really do like this coffee maker. The coffee is good and easy to use. Versatile. Can use pods or grounds and can make single or pot. My only complaint is that after only a few months the finish is coming off the front.

I like that it has a single cup and a multi coffee cup side by side. It makes it easier to make coffee for the whole family, depending on what they want. You don't have to have 2 coffee makers, you can put this out and anybody can use it. It's easy to use and figure out.
