This hand mixer is light weight but perfect for baking. It mixes fast, but without causing batter to go flying everywhere. It comes with two beaters and one whisk, as well as a clip in attachment that makes it easy to store the beaters and whisk together with the mixer; I find this very convenient, now I don't have to go rummaging through drawers looking for the attachments I need.

This mixer has good power, but there are two issues with the speed control. 1st is the STIR setting. You have to set a speed then hold the stir button down while mixing. Very unhandy. The second issue with the speed control is that you need to be careful how much tension you put on the dial when changing the speed or you can way too easily eject the beaters into your bowl. Extremely frustrating. The third concern is the handle. I do not find this square handle easy to hold, and I have large hands. I would not like to try and wrap small hands around the handle and have to deal with the speed control issues noted above.

This hand mixer is your average run of the mill, affordable hand mixer. I have a stand mixer I use all the time, but there are times you don't want to go through the hassle of having to drag it out and use it, so this is a perfect thing to have. Comes with the normal two beaters and a separate whisk attachment. They all work great, no issues. I love that the hand mixer itself has a little "dip" that you can rest the appliance on a bowl and that's something I haven't ever used before, but came in handy without having to try to balance the beaters and not get the batter all over the place. Pretty reasonably priced, and I think a hand mixer is something everyone needs in their home, even if they have a bigger stand mixer. Would make a great gift for a first time home owner or someone getting their first apartment.

I used this to bake a chocolate cake as the one I had was so old and it only had one setting. This one has six settings plus a “stir” function which slows it down. I think it worked well. Setting it up was easy. The only downside was that you have to press the “stir” button all the time to use it. If you remove your finger, it’ll return to the #2 speed. Otherwise, it’s a good item.

My current hand mixer must be 25 years old if it's a day. It's still working fine but I decided to replace it and gift it the old one to someone who needs one. It would be hard to improve upon old technology like a hand mixer but there are two features that are nice improvements: 1) the attachment holder and 2) the bowl rest. Typically, attachments end up in a gadget drawer and the mixer somewhere else. It's nice to keep these together so there's no more digging for the attachments. The bowl rest is a nice touch and works well. Note that my bowl is a heavy pottery number that outweighs the mixer. Per the specifications, don't try this with a plastic or light weight bowl. My only complaint, if it is one... is that the finish is dull and there appears to be a bit of a grime on the surface. A brand-new black appliance should be SHINEY. Perhaps this is from the factory or from sitting in storage. However, the picture of the bottom to show the bowl rest does a pretty good job of showing the grime on the finish. This is right out of the box, and never used by me.

This is exactly what I needed! A no nonsense, easy to use mixer that did the job well. It has 6 varying speeds (plus the stir button to avoid messes when adding ingredients) does not take up too much room and works as it should. It is quite powerful at the highest speed. The 3 attachments are easy to store using the clip which saves drawer room. The bowl rest feature is a nice bonus too. They really did think of everything, and I honestly have nothing negative to say about this mixer. After I use the mixer, I rinse off the attachment/s and put them in the dishwasher. So far in the last 2 weeks I have used it for making meringues, frosting for cupcakes and whipping mashed potatoes to make them extra fluffy. This weekend I will be using it to make whipped cream for a strawberry shortcake, and I have no doubt it will continue to do a wonderful job.
