    • The best purchase ever made. I love it.
No ice maker for years. Getting ice from the freezer is in the past & it is 103 degrees most days here in the summer. This is compact and always when the two us need it. Every day se comment how much more convenient this is than the fridge. No mess.

    • Worth the money
It is a busy little machine. Within a few minutes of plugging it in and adding water, we had ice cubes. It was enough to fill 1/2 a 20 oz. glass. Our fridge doesn’t have a spot for an ice maker, so this was our solution. This machine will keep a small party in ice, which is why we purchased it.

The item came as expected and did produce a couple ice cubes in the 10 minutes as promoted and the cubes are cute. It took over 2 hours to fill a gallon ziplock bag a little over half way up. Do not freeze cubes in the ziplock, since the ice cubes are wet they freeze in a clump and shatter when broken. I would suggest laying them flat to freeze completely, this will help them from clumping in a frozen ball and from melting in your drink so quickly when used. If you plan to use it continuously or for parties, to have ice, it may be cheaper and easier to buy ice. ... show more

You think you won't have to buy ice again.... Not true. Our GE FRIDGE just can't keep up with the family in the summer when it comes to making ice. Had the service tech out and said it is just the way they are made. Bought this gem. It makes ice pretty quick but by the time you have enough to fill a glass it is melting. The catch tray isn't temperature controlled. Don't leave it with ice in it after you power it off. It can be a real bear to clean....I had to start using the water from our R/O system in it to keep it clean. ... show more

We gave up on our refrigerator ice maker, and tried the silicone ice trays. We use so much ice that trays didn’t work so we decided to try an ice maker. This thing rocks....no pun intended. We chose a well known and reputable kitchen appliance maker like Hamilton Beach so we wouldn’t be annoyed or disappointed and I’m glad we did. We’re a week in using this machine and it’s fantastic. Makes ice quick and fresh. We transfer the ice to a long/tall Tupperware box that goes in the freezer and use a little metal meat mallet to breakup or crush the ice when we need it. The cubes stick together but we don’t care. Some us like crushed ice. We chose to make large cubes. They seem to last longer. The cubes are hollow if you’re wondering. Good little ice maker. You do have to tend to it as does read full when it's really not. Ice stacks up and any pressure the lift mechanism triggers the full reading and it stops making ice. I had high hopes for this ice maker. It does make ice quickly, but they end up melting fast, too, which is rather disappointing. I appreciate it recycles the melted water, but thought the cubes would stay frozen.
