Yes, I lust after the $350 stand mixers with the pretty colors. I'm pretty new to baking, so wanted to try an inexpensive mixer to see if I used one enough to justify the expense. I decided on this little mixer because it had a couple of attachments that looked pretty cool, like the whisk and the shake tool. It also has dough hooks but after reading other reviews I didn't expect to be able to use them. But I was so wrong! I make a couple of loaves of bread a week, and didn't mind doing it by hand. I make sourdough no-knead bread, so it's really not much work anyway. Once I received the mixer, I couldn't resist giving the dough hooks a try. Now bear in mind that I'm working with a wetter dough, and only make one loaf at a time, and I'm comparing it to mixing by hand, not mixing with a fancy stand mixer, but I am really impressed by how much easier it is to get that initial mix ready for rising. I mix by hand at the end for maybe 30 seconds, but the mixer is able to mix all the rest including the messy sticky part when you're combining the wet and dry ingredients. I've been using it for a couple of months now with no problems at all, and feel like it's one of the best bargains I've ever run across!

Use it to mix frosting and fillings. The pulse feature rocks! Anyone who has had to deal with powder sugar blowing everywhere will love this feature. Power to weight to price ratio is excellent. This has as much juice as Granny's old hand mixer, but at a fraction of the weight. Attachments are nice, but honestly, the only ones I will ever use are the beaters and whisk. I have two hands for bread and dough and a KA 6.5 Pro for heavy duty work.

This mixer has been doing a great job since I purchased it a couple years ago. I like all the attachments and how compact everything is once folded and put back into the gray case that clips into the bottom of the mixer. I've made cakes, cupcakes, mashed potatoes, pavlovas, etc with no issues. If you're an everyday home cook, this mixer will suit you well.

I bought this thing a while ago, after I had once decided I wanted to bake something and wound up spending a half hour mixing the ingredients by hand and still couldn't get all the lumps out. It sat in my cupboard out of the way, occasionally coming out to make a sauce, smooth a better or whip some cream. Anyway, today, my son asked for crepes. I pulled it out and realized I had not written a review on it yet, so spent sometime thinking about when I have used this thing, while I lazily mixed the batter. If I were doing it by hand I probably would have had more time to recollect, as it was the batter only took a couple of minutes to finish, so I barely had time to think about what I was doing let alone daydream about the sauces of days past. Well, this thing comes in quite handy for the home chef. I don't do enough baking to justify a stand mixer, so I got this little guy, because of how easy it is to keep everything stored together. I am a big fan of the pulse function. I plan to write it into my book of sauce recipes, I think it sounds like a secret move in a video game that unleashes magical powers, the pulse takes your sauce making and baking to a higher level. Okay, maybe not, but what a gimmick huh? Anyway, good mixer, great price.

I absolutely loved using the mixer for my Christmas and New Year's Eve pies. At first glance I thought the beaters looked kind of thin and would warp against the sides of my stainless steel bowls. However, they worked perfect. The beaters reach the ingredients at the bottom edges of the bowl, so there was no need to scrape with a spoon. The mixer is a bit heavy, but I do have carpal tunnel, so they may not seem heavy to a regular user. I love being able to put all the pieces and the cord in its own container. Will update when I make cookies...my last mixer was almost 25 years old and just could not handle another batch of cookies.

It is powerful, very easy to assemble, use, disassemble, clean and store. It is compact, very convenient, and very well-designed. The beaters are sturdy and insert easily, and they detach easily via a latch under the beater's handle. It is powerful, with six positions and "burst" button. It comes with a storage bin for the beaters, hooks and whisk and milkshake device that clips to the body of the beater. I have used the dough hooks with great results for bread dough, and the wire beaters did a fast job making whipped cream. At just $24.00 USD, it is an essential tool for your kitchen. It's a great gift for any home cook. It easily works in place of an expensive KitchenAid or Cuisinart heavy-duty mixer. You will find it much easier and much more simple and much more convenient. You will use this everyday. If Amazon.com had TEN stars I'd give this TEN.

I had a mixer that lasted quite a while, but need to get a new one. I got this one for price and the beaters. When I got it, it had the two I really need - dough hooks and twisted heavy whisk like beaters. Then I saw there were two single beaters - one for whisking and one for milkshakes! I hadn't noticed it in the description, but they are great additions! The storage case is a great idea, but it's hard to get on the mixer. This is worth it for the beaters though
