  • It works - it fits right into RVs pre-wired for Furrion backup cameras
I got a Coachmen Freedom Express UltraLite travel trailer, and it came pre-wired for a Furrion backup camera. But the Furrion cameras cost a lot more, and in my observation of others' installations, they don't work as well as the Haloview systems. I already had a Haloview MC7801 camera and monitor system I had acquired for my pontoon boat, so I simply purchased another camera (Haloview CA108) along with this adapter, and plugged it all in. All of the screws line up, there are included cable adapters, and it's really just plug and play. My only problem is that on my model of RV, the Furrion pre-wire location was underneath a trailer running light immediately above the pre-wire location. Alas when the Haloview camera is mounted onto this adapter, and this adapter goes into the top-side of my camper, the antenna bumps up against the top-center running light. That means I can't quite position my camera angle up high enough to see distant traffic on the road. Instead, the camera has to be angled down a bit more than I'd like, so my view is just the area immediately behind my travel trailer. It works well for backing up, which is why I bought the system in the first place, it's just not so great for monitoring traffic along my route. I don't blame the camera or the Furrion adapter bracket however; there are so many different configuration of campers no one can anticipate all of the different ways this could be set up. If it bothered me too much I'd invest in a remote antenna, which should give me just enough clearance to angle the camera a bit higher up. But as it is, it's only a minor annoyance, and I just put up with it. If this were the fault of Haloview I'd take off a star, but it isn't fair for me to blame them for my RV manufacturer's lighting configuration decisions. Get this adapter if you have a Furrion pre-wired system and want to go with the Haloview system instead. It works. You won't regret it. ... show more

  • A must have
My RV had a pre wired spot for a proprietary camera that would have cost me upwards of $500 to install. I was able to purchase this adapter and it fit perfectly allowing for an aftermarket camera to be installed. The total investment was less than $100 for a complete wireless backup camera system. The cable did not hinder the quality of the picture either. You can remove the shark fin and the bracket bolts right up the the existing holes and the connection is tight allowing the wire to be pushed back into the hole and not fearing it would come undone. ... show more

  • Works well, nothing else is needed for install.
All parts for install on a Furrion prepped Geo Pro we're included. The extra kit recommended in the bought together is not needed. Works well but at night there is some halo from the LEDs. Overall a much better choice than brand F at $600.

  • Must have for aftermarket camera installation on your RV
This is an excellent adapter if you already have a camera and don’t want to buy one of the manufacturers cameras to install on a pre-wired camper. The campers get pre-wired by a third-party company that wants you to buy their equipment after the fact but unfortunately their equipment is always three or four times what should actually cost Buy this adapter and you can purchase $100 camera and attach it to your camper or motorhome and get the same end result. ... show more

  • Must have for pulling trailers
If you have a trailer this is a must have…Easy to install and bracket is included to modify if your trailer is set up with the furrion set up

  • Worked Perfectly
Removed the plastic Furrion thing, cleaned the old goop off and this bracket aligned perfectly with the existing holes. Calked where the wires come out from the trailer and I was good to go. The power cord adapter also matched up perfectly. It appears the existing Furrion wiring is attached to the running lights. So running lights have to be on for the camera to work. I actually like this as the camera won't be pulling battery power when I am parked. ... show more

  • Can be used for other cameras, not just Halo
I used this with the Xroose backup camera: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085L8X4XZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My travel trailer came prewired for a Furrion camera using the domed plastic mounting piece that is pre-installed on most trailers. This bracket has the same mounting hole pattern as the Furrion dome. No drilling required. I removed the Furrion domed mount, then installed this bracket to the trailer with the Furrion gasket placed against the trailer, then a piece of plexiglass in the shape of the Furrion domed mount (that I made) in between the gasket and this bracket. (I probably didn't need to do that, but the plexiglass gave some extra support to the gasket. I also siliconed around the gasket and plexiglass piece, and also around the hole in the trailer where the cable came through the trailer wall). I then bolted the Xroose bracket to the Halo bracket. The Furrion to Halo power adapter cable also works for the Xroose camera, so you don't need to buy another cable or make your own. I've probably made it sound more complicated than it is. It's fairly simple and straightforward. ... show more

  • Did NOT fit factory Furrion kit on 2018 Forrest River
Bracket does not line up to Furrion pre mounted camera bracket on my 2018 Forrest river RV (Wildcat 37wb fw). No way no how. Not even close. Bracket is too large to align. Would require major drilling/modification to factory plastic mount. The adapter plug however is a perfect fit. Worked great for my aftermarket camera install. Maybe I have a small Furrion factory backup kit in my unit? ... show more
