Great for AKC reunite chips!
Great for AKC microchips! Much cheaper than other scanners! My pricey scanner broke and I didn’t have $200 to replace it, so I thought I would see if this inexpensive one would work, and it sure did!

Reads/displays temperature
Perfect, exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. Reads and displays the Home Again termochip 15 digit code and body temperature. Also nicely packaged to fit in a mailbox, saving me a trip to the post office

Helped return a street cat lost for 2 years back to it owners :)
We get a few strays in our area and I didn't want to haul them down to the vet to be scanned and freak them out in the process of trapping them. I bought this found one that didn't have a chip and found a great home for her and the 2nd one was a cat that was on the streets for 2 years in our area who everyone thought was someones cat but really got out the night the owner was moving out of state. I dropped some treats down after weeks of gaining the cats trust and I used the halo scanner and heard it beep !! I was in shock, I called one of th eplaces and it happened to be their chip and they contacted the owners, who contacted me ASAP and told me he was making the 15 hour drive down to pick him up and sure enough he did. I now get updates and pictures of him, halo worked great for simple home use.

So handy
It will scan almost all types of microchips. I know, because I tried it on more than two types of chips. It doesn't need batteries because it already has one inside and it's rechargeable. It's so handy when you get a dog or cat that comes over needing help.

Scanner for Rescue Use
Bought this scanner after watching some You Tube videos for the best scanners for different purposes. As we run an animal rescue, we get calls about found pets frequently. We try to reunite lost pets with owners so finding a device that would read as many types of chips as possible was important. I received the device, and was easily able to read the chips of all of my dogs that are from different shelters, with different types of chips, even the one that was chipped 17 years ago! Many of thr other devices that can read a number of chip types are much more expensive.

Does not find HomeAgain chips
Wanted to use this for TNR/rescue projects and tested out on personal pets and friends’ pets whom I know have chips and it didnt find any of the homeagain chips (10 in total). Worked fine on the new in package but not implanted FiNano chip but that was it. Returned.

This chip scanner is a must have for any home breeder! It's great to be able to show to the families that purchased our pups exactly what the microchip number is. Plus if you have a super large litter and the little stinkers lose/sneak off their collars, no worries, just check the chips! Decently priced compared to competition. We've used it for several weeks now. Rechargable works great. Very happy. Would purchase again in a heart beat and highly recommend it.
