The Halo Collar is fantastic! I never write reviews, but felt compelled to write one for this product because of some of the puzzling negative reviews I read before buying. First, the virtual fence works great. I can only conclude that those who said otherwise either are competitors or people who didn't take the time to train their dogs properly. I love the fact that I not only created and area in the backyard for my dog Ginger, but also was able to create and area on front porch, where she loves to sit. In addition, the beacons have allowed me to protect my flower gardens from her digging. The virtual leash is another amazing benefit of the collar. I have been able to take Ginger on hikes off leash with no fear of her running off. The additional exercise she gets running side to side as I walk the trail is incredible. There are so many other features, I am still learning all that the collar can do. In summary, I am an extremely satisfied user and would highly recommend the collar. James

I received my Halo collar a little over a week ago and, so far, it is taking my dog a little while to adjust. I have a stubborn 2 year old corgi who is not very food driven and, as a result, has been rather difficult to train outside of the basic sit command and crate/potty training. After watching the training videos for this collar, I do have high hopes! Everything is very detailed and broken down into easy steps to follow. I am having some issue with her not paying any mind to the initial beeping sound, but I feel like it may just be something that takes a bit of time and practice. I will update this review once I have had more time to work with her while using the collar in order to provide the most accurate review. I will say that setting up the collar was super easy to do! The videos were all very helpful and detailed, and the app is super easy to navigate. The only downside that I have experienced so far is that the beacon that arrived with my collar states that it only has 2 months (out of the 6 month life span) left. I also don’t love that the app requires a $9.99/month subscription. I feel that, when paying so much for a product, the subscription should either be included or at least covered for a set amount of time.

We have been using this collar for several months now. We own several properties and liked the fact that we can create different fences for each property. As you can see Rogue lives up to her name and sees no real fence as a challenge and can easily climb out chain link fence. This works great on our small yard or on our 40 archers. Only down side is during cloudy weather the GPS is not accurate and it will signal her when she’s inside the house or fence. We don’t use it on those days or I turn off the fence and just use the tracking feature.

With this collar and app you can track your dog's activities and location. This collar requires a subscription to Halo's services in order for the app and collar to work. Then you can leverage the power of this system and use it to train your dog with what it does. Collar material is beautiful but buckle is plastic. Replacements are easy. It is a pretty collar but does take time to setup and training to use. Best for people who let their dogs out and roam in areas with great GPS coverage. It's a great tool that allows a dog more roaming freedom under GPS guidance.

I did so much research on what invisible fence system I should go with… I knew I wanted one that let me control the fence so my Golden Doodle had more than just a radial circle to run. I wanted her to have full access to our acrage with limits! The first few days she was getting buzzed and shocked more than I thought, but I thought okay she’s getting used to the peremeter that she is allowed to run. It’s now been a week and she still just doesn’t mind the shock due to the collar not staying tight and she barely feels it. The collar should not come loose enough that it’s falling off of her just by her running. So let down because I thought this was going to be my saving grace! The app and all the training is nice, the collar itself is nice too! Just wish the silicone it was made from didn’t let it slip once adjusted.
